United States
One of the oldest law firm-affiliated charitable foundations in the United States, the Foundation has contributed $74 million since 1986 to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations that address social welfare and systemic discrimination through programs focused on legal aid, civil rights, and equity in education, healthcare, and housing.
Europe
London
The firm’s London office has had its own charitable giving program since 2006. For tax and charitable giving reasons, it operates separately from the MoFo Foundation, though its focus, guidelines, and level of partner support are consistent. In 2023, the London charitable donations totaled £152,000, or approximately $193,627.
Recipients of donations by the MoFo Foundation's charitable giving program in London include:
AKT: The Albert Kennedy Trust, London: AKT supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 16 to 25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.
Whitechapel Mission: The Whitechapel Mission has been serving the homeless in London for 143 years.
Not Beyond Redemption: Not Beyond Redemption provides free family law advice and representation to mothers in prison, or who have left prison to assist in re-establishing and regenerating the fundamental relationship between mother and child.

Asia
Our support for U.S. charities serving parts of Asia where the firm has offices began shortly after Morrison Foerster opened its Tokyo office in 1987. In 2023, our combined Asia offices contributed over $117,000 to organizations such as:
Asian University for Women: Asian University for Women is the first of its kind – a fully independent, regional institution dedicated to women’s education and leadership development. Asian University for Women exists to educate and empower women leaders through the transformative power of liberal arts and sciences education.
Child’s Dream Foundation (via Give2Asia): The Child’s Dream Foundation ensures that children and young adults in the Mekong Subregion affected by inequality grow up to be healthy and have access to quality education and better employment opportunities.
United States-Japan Bridging Foundation: This charity provides Japan Study Abroad opportunities to American undergraduates.
