Mortenson partnered with the Utah ACE Board, Granite School District and Salt Lake Community College to create an inaugural event for students to obtain internships or full-time positions in the construction industry from local vendors. The event also raised $2,000 for the SLCC Associate Dean of Apprenticeship and Construction Related Technologies programs. The Mortenson ACE Summit is looking to replicate events like this around the country to make the Builders’ Day event occur company wide.

Our partnership with the Rainier Scholars Program began in 2020 offering support in a variety of ways from speaking engagements to career workshops, financial sponsorships and more. In 2023, the program looked to expand and Mortenson offered assistance advising on tenant improvements, materials, design and construction of their new space. We look forward to continuing to support the mission of the program as they expand to new regions.

Our Denver team named Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, a nonprofit dance company, their 2022 Community Impact Partner. As beneficiaries of our yearly charitable efforts, in Denver, their mission is to infuse vitality, innovation and education into every community.

Our Sports team supports KINF in a variety of ways - through building upgrades for their spaces to donating the supplies and partners to support their efforts.
Kids in Need Foundation
Our Minneapolis team has a 25 year partnership with Hearts & Hammers, providing volunteers and in-kind construction materials to repair home exteriors for citizens in need, so they can continue living independently.

Our Solar team volunteers with PRISM, a nonprofit providing dignity-centered resources for food, housing, and other basic needs. The Solar team has supported diaper bundling, holiday toy shop, and annual food drives.

Mortenson has supported this organization for many years through college care packages, career and leadership weekend support, as an annual luncheon sponsor and through panel discussions.

Our Portland team has supported this organization numerous times through packing food for children in poverty in Portland public schools.

Our Milwaukee team has supported the Hunger Task Force in Wisconsin for over a decade; hosting food drives and volunteering at The Farm and food pantries.

Since 2011, Mortenson has partnered with Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a private, career-focused high school in South Minneapolis that partners with over 140 businesses sending students to work one day a week earning ~40% of the cost of tuition.

Mortenson partners with Wallin to provide the financial aid, advising, and access scholars need to rise. Through our Mortenson Scholarship, students receive comprehensive support for college and a pathway to a full-time role at Mortenson.
