INVESTMENT FOCUS
Remaining true to a long-term investment philosophy
In choosing mutual funds for our platform, of course we’re interested in those with managers who are consistently beating their benchmarks, producing what’s known as “alpha.” While alpha is vitally important, we won’t automatically remove an underperforming fund and replace it with a fund that is currently in favor in the market. All funds will experience periods of underperformance, and the ability to allow for these variations is part of our long-term investment philosophy.
Rather than chase past performance, which is not indicative of future results, our strategy is to continue to make funds available that have a well-defined investment process, stable management and the potential for repeatable performance over time. Given the range of allocation choices offered, participants can make their own decisions about the trajectory of a particular fund and seek alternatives within that asset class, if desired.
Our multifaceted approach to fund selection allows us to leverage our knowledge, relationship and strengths to provide value to you and your employees.
