Clean Power and DER Continue to Disrupt the Utility Business Model
Survey respondents acknowledge that the growth of both clean energy and DER are having a demonstrable impact on the utility business model, and will for the foreseeable future.
Aligning with last year’s response, nearly two-thirds (62%) of respondents in 2020 stated that rapidly increasing renewables and DER are the most disruptive force to the utility business model.
