To jumpstart the fun, Chevy charged into the passionate fandoms of some of the biggest events of the year: Sunday Night Football, Presidents Cup, BravoCon and the World Cup with a social-first approach. The excitement sped up with a custom partnership on NBC with George Lopez, which featured the household favorite personally illustrating that Chevy EVs are accessible to everyone!
On 12/6, Chevy charged ahead with an all-electric strategy that positioned Chevy in a prominent role for a morning-to-night blitz across NBCU. Chevy and NBCU launched That EV Life, a custom campaign with Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum Joe Lo Truglio, which playfully debunked some of the misconceptions of driving and owning an EV. The day continued with high-impact storytelling and strategic media placements that spotlighted Chevy EVs across TODAY, Peacock, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Kelly Clarkson Show!
Together, Chevy & NBCU have built credibility amongst a mass audience and captivated the next generation of EV buyers to electrify the path forward for all.

The wait was finally over! Chevrolet and NBCUniversal accelerated the shift to EVs for everyone, everywhere with the biggest fandom moments of the year: Sunday Night Football, Presidents Cup, BravoCon 2022 and the World Cup. Together, Chevy EV and NBCU tapped into the passionate social chatter through Twitter Highlights and Twitter Livestream.
Kicking off with America’s #1 sport – Sunday Night Football – to putting in one of golf’s premiere event – Presidents Cup – to celebrating the world’s biggest culture event with the World Cup, Chevy EV reached both English and Spanish language audiences during the most electrifying sporting moments with Twitter Highlights.
After three long years, BravoCon returned for an even bigger star-studded experience in NYC. Through BravoCon’s Twitter Livestream & Highlights, Chevy EV supercharged fans by surrounding newsworthy and must-see BravoCon clips and exclusive content with Chevy’s pre-roll creative, putting Chevy front and center of all-things BravoCon. In good partnership, Chevy was also featured within the BravoCon app as a sponsor, giving BravoCon fans fingertip access to the insider info they needed to plan their weekend.

SHOWCASING THE ACCESSIBILITY OF CHEVY EV WITH GEORGE LOPEZ
Chevrolet and NBCUniversal teamed up to illustrate how Chevy EVs are truly for everyone, everywhere starring renowned comedian George Lopez. Through a custom campaign centered around “boomer” Lopez, Chevy and NBCU comically played off of his “old-fashioned” road trip ways compared to his young nephew, who eagerly explains the benefits of driving a Chevy EV.
This engaging partnership highlighted the benefits of having an EV, such as not having to worry about gas, oil or changing the engine air filter, and emphasized the worry-free experience of owning a Chevy Bolt EV!
The custom content was strategically aligned with Lopez vs. Lopez content across all screens, including bumpers, TikTok custom content and digital/social cutdowns. It was further amplified across NBC.com and across NBC and Lopez’s social platforms.

For audiences thinking about making the EV shift, NBCU and Chevy spotlighted the most outrageous & comically assumed realities of the EV experience and reminded audiences that Truglio’s assumptions of the “EV Life” are far from the truth. Truglio’s pleasantly surprised to learn that Chevy has EVs for everyone, everywhere to fit their lifestyle.

During the show, Seth Meyers, John Lutz and Wally, the cue-card guy, joyfully celebrated the electric holiday season and jokingly discussed the exchange of holiday gifts – including an all-electric Chevy Equinox EV!
