Keep Our Commitment
to Sustainability
Since its launch in 1965, EXPO® has helped turn ideas into action in classrooms, offices, and meeting spaces around the world. Just as EXPO® empowers collaboration and fresh thinking with reliable, easy-to-erase ink, the brand is committed to making a meaningful, lasting impact on the planet.
Through responsible partnerships, thoughtful material choices, and reduced packaging waste, EXPO® aims to ensure that every mark on the board — and every idea shared — helps shape a future that is innovative, responsible, and built to last.
Partnering with HOW2RECYCLE™
As a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition since 2019, Expo’s parent company, Newell Brands, has aligned with the organization’s mission to source responsibly, optimize, and recover packaging resources where possible. As part of this commitment, Expo is implementing the How2Recycle™ label on all products moving forward to help educate consumers on how to properly recycle our packaging.

Exiting production of all
PVC material in packaging
Expo is committed to eliminating all PVC (polyvinyl chloride) packaging in favor of the more environmentally preferred PET (polyethylene terephthalate) material by the end of 2025.
Limiting the use of virgin plastic
materials in our plastic packaging
Expo is committed to implementing sustainable design practices, starting with designing thermoform plastic blisters with recycled plastic (polyethylene), which we plan to implement in our packaging moving forward.
We have begun to design thermoform plastic blisters with an average of 50% pre- consumer plastic*.
*Thermoform plastic blisters typically contain 50-75% recycled plastic.
