WHAT happens when you take a much-loved UK reality TV concept and flip it down under?
Channel 4’s legacy series, Made in Chelsea (MIC), does exactly that with its new sister show Made in Bondi (MIB).
Prepare for gossip, romance and everything in between as the series follows the lives of Australia’s social elite.
Featuring a new group of chaotic twentysomethings, Made in Bondi is based in Sydney’s prestigious Bondi Beach.
That’s right, scenes of Knightsbridge on your screen are swapped with sweeping views of Sydney Opera House – and it’s time to delve into the ups and downs of the city’s social scene.
Big fan of the Bafta award-winning series, Made in Chelsea? Here are five things you have to know about the Australian version of the show…
Aussie elite
Expect to be introduced to heirs to fortunes, glamorous content creators and boarding school-educated twentysomethings navigating romance and never-ending social lives.
From days at the races to spa retreats and themed parties, the episodes switch around bouji Bondi postcodes.

Love triangles? Add a few more sides
It’s a Made in Chelsea spin-off, so of course everyone is dating everyone. But nothing prepares you for this messy group – and the drama that ensues.
Let’s start off by introducing 22-year-old model Lawson Mahoney.
It’s safe to say Lawson gives off the same energy as some of the OG MIC boys… young, hot and in love with everyone.
He hits our screens at one of the first group gatherings alongside cool girl and jewellery designer, Molly Paradice.
However in true MIC style, Lawson’s ex – content creator Bella Salerno – is still on the scene and not happy about the way things ended between the two of them.
Is Bella someone that Molly needs to worry about, or will Bella find a new romance? Maybe with an ex-professional football player or perhaps a familiar British face?
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the show, will love blossom between Pippa, a distillery apprentice, and Charlie, who is the heir to a hospitality empire?
And can stylist Paul Versace find the husband he is looking for in and among the chaos?

Awesome Aus
One of our favourite things about MIC is that the filming locations often reveal cool spots that we can add to our London bucket list – and don’t worry, MIB gives the inside track to Sydney too.
From beautiful beaches (including the iconic Bondi Beach and Vaucluse) to the cast’s favourite places for a cheeky drink – the boys down shots at the cocktail bar Cardea Sydney – there’s no shortage of sights.
When it comes to dramatic convos over coffee, the cast have been known to have a flat white or two at Blackwood Bondi.
For romantic dates or bestie catch-ups, the group are often at Jonah’s in Palm Beach and Lulu in Bondi.
And in keeping with what we’d expect from a “Made in” series, the Bondi cast just so happen to go on a luxury group vacay to the bucket-list-worthy Whitsundays. With a backdrop of picturesque white sands and turquoise blue seas, anyone would fall in love or get back together – or anything in between.
It’s safe to say that the show will plan your entire itinerary for a trip down under.

Worlds
collide
Fans of the show will be pleased to hear there are a few crossovers in the “Made in…” universe.
Those who remember the MIC crew’s big trip to Australia in 2023 (Made in Chelsea: Sydney) will recognise football player Lachy McLean and model Isabella Cicero from the Made in Bondi group.
Well acquainted with the SW3 gang, Isabella just so happens to invite some familiar faces to Sydney while in pursuit of a new love interest.
Making an appearance later on in the series, Tristan Phipps could cause a stir on his return to Australia. And with cheeky chappy Miles Nazaire by his side, will the boys get in the middle of some already complicated love triangles?

Beautiful
people
Would Made in Bondi be part of the “Made in…” world if all the cast weren’t all so perfectly preened? As models, influencers and content creators, it seems the entire group is genetically blessed.
