When it comes to summer holidays, the lure of Mediterranean shores is always strong. The gorgeous beaches, gloriously sunny weather, delicious food and wine... they are all just a short flight away from the UK. It’s no wonder so many of us head there every year. But where you stay – getting the right hotel in the perfect location – is very much part of the equation. Which accounts for the buzz around Ikos Resorts: stylish, elegant hotels set in some of the loveliest spots on the Greek and Spanish coastlines.
The seven-strong Ikos collection has redefined the all-inclusive holiday with its winning combination of world-class facilities, elegant design, five-star service and haute cuisine, topped off with a laid-back vibe and a warm welcome for couples, friends and families alike.
This summer sees the launch of two new properties: Ikos Odisia in Corfu and Ikos Porto Petro in Mallorca. Soak up the serenity and book a relaxing visit to these or any of the Ikos Resorts with British Airways Holidays. Thanks to a flexible payment scheme, you can secure your holiday with a low deposit (from just £60 per person), then spread the balance across as many instalments as you like.* As with all British Airways Holidays, your getaway comes with Atol protection, a 23kg baggage allowance per person and a 24-hour holiday helpline, just in case. Coast with the most The Med has all the ingredients for an idyllic retreat
Looking for that Greek island idyll? You’ll find it at the new Ikos Odisia, a haven of serenity and sophistication tucked away on a quiet peninsula on the east coast of Corfu. Arranged across 60 landscaped acres, the resort’s low-rise, greenery-topped buildings blend in beautifully with the surrounding forest, where you can wander along pine-scented trails. Alternatively, head to the sun-soaked beach, take a dip in one of the resort’s ten turquoise pools or choose from a vast range of activities both in and out of the water. Excellent kids’ clubs lay on fun and adventures for children of all ages, while adults can enjoy personalised treatments in Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris.
As the sun sets, the evening entertainment kicks in, with variety shows, live music and beach parties. And there are plenty of options on the food front, whether you fancy a fabulous Mediterranean buffet or want to linger over dinner in one of five à la carte restaurants, with a variety of global cuisines and menus masterminded by leading chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants.
Not that you have to eat in: Ikos encourages guests to explore further afield, discovering local landscapes, culture and cuisine, so you can dine at selected Corfiot tavernas, sampling traditional dishes and local wines – all included in the price of your trip.
Accommodation comes in a variety of types and sizes, making it easy for every guest to find their perfect base. Whichever you opt for, you’ll enjoy chic decor, as well as a minibar that’s restocked every day with premium spirits and soft drinks.
Upgrade to Deluxe and things get even more luxurious, with extra benefits including a free massage, access to a separate pool and beach area, plus a bottle of Taittinger champagne on arrival – the perfect start to a cut-above break.

Spain welcomed its second Ikos Resort this summer, when the much-anticipated Ikos Porto Petro opened on the picturesque south-east coast of Mallorca. This part of the island is known for its pretty, secluded bays and the protected Mondrago Natural Park wetlands, all easily explored at no extra cost, thanks to the bike hire and day’s use of a Tesla car that are complimentary for all guests.
The hotel is set between two sandy coves, with glittering sea views and beautifully manicured gardens. Thirteen types of rooms and suites – some with private gardens or pools – ensure there’s something to suit every type of traveller. The elegant interiors are worthy of a glossy design magazine, impeccably styled and decorated with tastefully soft tones and natural materials.
Book a Deluxe room, and you’ll also be treated to extras such as a free neck and back massage in the Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris and access to exclusive beach and poolside areas.
You could easily spend whole days here simply lounging by one of the five sparkling pools but with a whole host of activities included, this is your chance to try something new, from canoeing and paddleboarding to yoga and Zumba. Children don’t miss out either: all ages from tots to teens are catered for, with creative opportunities and fun adventures aplenty in the carefully supervised kids’ clubs.
Evenings are equally entertaining and whether you’re enjoying a show, movie night, beach party, or ordering expertly mixed cocktails in one of the bars, it’s all included. So, too, is dinner in one of the five à la carte restaurants, with their world-class cuisine, or at The Market, a new food-hall concept. Or go local: the Dine Out concept means you can eat at selected Mallorcan restaurants at no extra cost.
A visit to the market in nearby Santanyí, where you can pick up great gourmet souvenirs to bring home, including local cheeses, wines and sea salt. The eerie Drach Caves are worth exploring too, as is Mallorca’s capital Palma, with its instantly recognisable gothic cathedral.
