FIVE plucky perps hijacked a security van in the middle of the day in what is set to be THE crime of the Nineties!
This old-school daylight robbery is believed to be the tasty work of a professional crew led by small-time hoods Gal Dove and Don Logan.

One eyewitness said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes. The van stopped at a traffic light when all of a sudden this man in a motorcycle helmet grabbed a woman out of nowhere and started waving a gun about, causing a right commotion.
“Two men in balaclavas were smashing the windscreen and a third had explosives to blow a hole in the van. It was like something off the telly!”
Currant Bun sources say Dove’s gang might be small fry but in the East End underworld they’re well respected, known for following orders and not skimming off the top.
The job is a step up for the crew, who usually target electronics or jewellery stores, and the post office.
Dove and Logan are not thought to be acting alone. Word on the street is they were recruited by a new face on the capital’s crime scene, Teddy Bass, and his second, Stan “The Man” Higgins.
Bass was overheard boasting: “This is going to bring the entire kingdom to our doorstep.”
Still, in a plot thicker than mum’s Sunday gravy, one of Dove’s henchmen has gone missing and a security man who saw the gang unmasked is on the run.
It’s believed Dove and Logan were also responsible for recently turning over an arcade. Any connections between that incident and Logan’s sister Cecilia’s rival gaming operation are not coincidental.

OUR MAN at Scotland Yard says the only thing taken during the Thames raid was an old coin – even though the security van was piled high with other valuables.
The victim of the crime has been identified as Sir Stephen Eaton, a privileged toff who has made a fortune by brokering illegal scams with the Chinese.
Sources say Eaton is protected by Dominic and Freddie McGraw, a father and son outfit who ringfence his corrupt activities.
The McGraws have their mitts in a number of shady operations, which include nightclubs, drugs and the adult entertainment industry.
Eaton spent half a million quid on a John Constable painting too. The rumour is he keeps it in his downstairs loo to be p****d on. Could that be stolen next?
OI, OI, SAVELOY! This crazy crew of crafty Cockneys have made a name for themselves half inchin’ a priceless coin.
Now they’ve got their peepers on another rare gem.
Thirty years ago the Kray twins were the guv’nors of the East End underworld. Now Gal Dove and Don Logan are the new crime kings, staying one step ahead of their rivals – and the rozzers.
Gal and Don can usually be found down their local, The Golden Eagle, using a sock full of pool balls to “right” a few wrongs.
But these handy chaps also love a bit of the high life. They’ve been spotted at fancy parties where the coke is served on silver trays – and we’re not talking soft drinks.
They love the odd trip to the Costa del Crime too – Brits abroad causing havoc, headbutting the local coppers and copping off with saucy Spanish señoritas.
Gal is the brains of the bunch. Mr Popular in his manor, he’s a proper family man, always paying off his dad’s gambling debts and keeping an eye out for his kid sister, Ann-Marie, a casualty of the rave craze and the latest drug to sweep the streets, ecstasy.
The gang leader is expected to tie the knot with lovely Leyton girl Marjorie Kern. But Gal, mate, isn’t your fiancée a bubbly blonde? Our sources could’ve sworn your date the other night was a brunette!
One thing’s for sure, if the wedding bells do end up ringing, Gal’s partner in crime Don will be the best man. So long as his hair-trigger temper doesn’t land him behind bars before then, that is.
Still, Don’s big sister, Cecilia, is the toughest peroxide on the block, so anyone coming for Don will have to get past her first.
Don loves a milkshake (vanilla, mind, nothing “exotic” like cherry) and can often be found in front of the gogglebox, watching the latest quiz show, Catchphrase. Just make sure he’s not nursing his 12-gauge when he can’t solve the puzzle, otherwise it’s goodbye, Mr Chips!
Make no mistake, with Gal by his side, he’s DON THE UP AND UP.
DEEDEE HARRISON is best known by her stage name, Veronica Ames, but once seen, she’s never forgotten.
This Currant Bun cutie started as a dancer in Soho but has become the hottest thing in the adult film industry.
Her saucy performances are the talk of the town, but she’s not just a pretty face. Deedee’s planning to take charge of her career – with a cricket bat if she needs to!
As she told oily producer Ricky Sidhu, “I’M THE F***ING STAR AND DON’T YOU FORGET IT!” She’s now in talks with a big American investor, demanding a bigger cut of the profits and her choice of male costars. Lucky lot!
Deedee is involved with Alan “Two Guns” Graves. But we can also reveal that she’s caught Gal’s eye too.
Yes, Dove is in the air for Deedee! The pair met at a club after locking eyes over George Michael’s Top 5 hit Too Funky, and have been stepping out in Soho for long walks and talks. And the rest, Gal?
The pair are kindred spirits – two dreamers who want more from life than the same old, same old.
Our house agony aunt, Dear Deidre, reckons this one could go the distance. Deedee’s passions in life include art, dancing and cooking (she makes a mean cauliflower cheese).
Her motto is “Don’t think small!” For this sexy beast, the world truly is her oyster!
