From surprising Spain and idyllic Greece to fun-filled Florida and vibrant Mexico – bag a great value break
Tropical beaches and Alpine lakes, ancient cities and dreamy cruises, TUI spans the globe bringing you the best of every kind of destination – and right now, its Live Happy Sale means reductions of up to £250* on a huge range of breaks.
The fact that we’re all eager for a bargain right now is just one of the many reasons we should use TUI, the country’s largest holiday company, trusted by over six million clients each year. TUI’s Holiday Promise guarantees your money back within 14 days – or a fee-free change of booking – in the unlikely event the company has to cancel your holiday*.
That’s just for starters. TUI’s flexible payment options* offer a low deposit or monthly payments to spread the cost – there’s even a zero deposit option on several holidays. You’ll find thousands of free kids’ places* to take the little ones without paying a penny.
A TUI booking also means maximum choice, with packages covering everything from beach and city breaks to cruises, with a fine selection of hotels. How about an all-inclusive resort with multiple pools? A family-run boutique hotel? Elegant lakeside villa? The choice is yours – and includes these destinations, which feature in the sale.
Tropical sunshine: whether you spend your time at the beach, ancient ruins or simply stretching out by the pool, the Yucatan Peninsula has it all
Mexico for
wellness
and wonder
Washed by sunshine, kissed by tropical breezes, the Mayan Riviera’s verdant jungle is lined with white beaches, azure Caribbean water and spectacular coral. Its diverse resorts include party central Cancun with top DJs playing hotel clubs, fabulous shopping and 12 glorious miles of sand. Playa del Carmen is far smaller but lively from dusk to dawn, while Tulum has chilled out contemporary vibes with yoga and soul food restaurants.
The Yucatan’s a hotspot for snorkelling and diving, particularly Cozumel Island’s shallow coral reefs and underwater caverns, while onshore, four eco parks offer dolphin watching, river rafting and jungle treks spotting flamingos and monkeys – along with swims in the emerald water of cenotes (sinkholes). You won’t be the first. The Mayans’ centuries-old Unesco-listed ruins include clifftop Tulum and Chitchen Itza’s magnificent pyramid. Just outside Playa del Carmen, exclusive Playacar has world-class golf and the beachfront Riu Palace Riviera Maya with four pools, five bars and six restaurants alongside fabulous watersports and live entertainment.
From Deco
to Disney
in Florida
Florida takes its fun seriously from Orlando’s wild rides to Miami’s hip bars. Orlando’s the undisputed theme park world champion with 50,000 acres of attractions. Stay at the Caribe Royal Orlando, reopened last year with six restaurants and three pools, and you’re close to Disney World Resorts with its new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction. Nearby Universal Studios boasts The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, while its Island of Adventures park reveals Jurassic Park dinosaurs and Spider-Man, just an hour from East Coast beaches including Daytona and Cocoa, and close to a staggering choice of golf courses.
Further south, Miami’s seven-mile-long South Beach (SoBe to locals) has swooshing rollerbladers, bronzed lifeguards and pastel-hued art deco buildings. The 21st-century city, with its cafe culture and Little Havana’s mellow Cuban vibe, rubs tanned shoulders with the Everglades’ wild wetlands and mangroves. Stay in the heart of the action at the oceanfront Riu Plaza Miami Beach with its large pool, alfresco dining and swaying palms.
Islands
aplenty
in Greece
Greece’s clusters of islands are diverse but all promise fabulously sunny breaks. West of the mainland, the Ionian islands share Venetian DNA and cobalt-blue seas. Corfu, with its lush interior, offers everything from sleepy villages to hedonistic Kavos, while Kefalonia – of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin fame – boasts the spectacular Drogarati Caves, meandering vineyards and pine-backed sand. Zante, home to the all-inclusive, adults-only TUI Blue Zante Maris with bright contemporary rooms and futuristic pool, has powdery beaches including the famous Navagio shipwreck.
Alternatively, the South Aegean can name drop several famous islands, from Rhodes and its fortified medieval capital to Santorini, where Fira and Oia’s white cube houses cling to cliffs above a submerged caldera. And then there’s Mykonos, with its hip clubs, fashionable boutiques and photogenic Mykonos Town complete with windmills.
Greece’s largest island, Crete – where you’ll find the five-star TUI Blue Sensatori Atlantica Caldera Palace with spa and kids’ club, five pools and seven restaurants – blends epic scenery, like the Samaria Gorge, with sublime history, including Heraklion’s Palace of Knossos.
Italian
lakes and
mountains
Gin clear water beneath mountains and vineyards, balmy climes and divine towns with excellent dining and shopping: northern Italy’s lakes have it all. Como, with the Alps towering over one end, tops the glamour stakes. James Bond recuperated here in Casino Royale and George Clooney owns an elegant shoreline villa. Lovely Bellagio and its baroque gardens are unmissable.
To the east, Garda – the largest lake, surrounded by plains, hills and snow-lined peaks – enjoys a Mediterranean microclimate reflected in olive groves, citrus trees and vines. A top spot for hang-gliding, mountain biking and windsurfing, along with golf, it also offers Sirmione’s natural thermal spas. Stay in Limona’s sumptuous Hotel Park Imperial with a serene garden, spectacular pool and acclaimed cuisine, all served with elegy-inducing views.
Far to the west, Orta, swaddled by wooded hills, is home to San Giulio island with a gorgeous medieval town, while Lake Maggiore, straddling Italy and Switzerland, mixes palm-lined promenades with poetically beautiful villages.
Tradition
with a twist
in Spain
Sixty miles off Africa, the Canaries’ rich volcanic drama includes Tenerife’s 12,400ft Mount Teide and Lanzarote’s awe-inspiring Timanfaya National Park. The islands’ dazzlingly diverse coastlines include Fuerteventura’s 150 beaches from Playa de Sotavento’s epic kitesurfing to Corralejo’s dunes. Savour the shops of Gran Canaria’s Las Palmas, southern Tenerife’s party resorts and quieter La Palma, home to clifftop hotel La Palma Teneguía Princess with Atlantic views, seven pools and Canarian cuisine.
Alternatively head to the Med and Mallorca for Palma’s boutiques and bars, the spectacular Tramuntana mountains and a breathtakingly jagged coastline. Menorca has snoozy fishing villages and sandy coves, Ibiza world-famous nightlife, hippy markets and chilled cosmopolitan vibes, and Formentera long white undeveloped beaches.
By contrast, Andalusia boasts astounding Moorish architecture (including Córdoba’s Mezquita and Granada’s Alhambra), the Sierra Nevada’s whitewashed villages, and the Costa del Sol’s honey sands and glitzy hotspots including Marbella.
The
colours of
Turkey
Luminescent water, white beaches and vertiginous forested mountains; small wonder jaw dropping southwest Turkey’s dubbed the Turquoise Coast. Its most photographed spot is Olu Deniz’s pebble-sand finger separating azure sea from aquamarine lagoon, but don’t miss Iztuzu Beach, close to Lycian cliff tombs and Patara’s enormous sweep of sand. Kas and Kalkan’s seafront villages have charming rooftop restaurants but the biggest buzz comes from Marmaris’s colourful bazaar and lively restaurants – home to Cook’s Club Adakoy with private beach, multiple water sports and sea-view rooms.
Further west near Izmir, Kusadasi’s ancient market brims with spices, rugs and lamps. Head to nearby Ephesus’ gloriously preserved Greco-Roman settlement where paved streets meander past squares, baths and monumental ruins, or further inland to Pamukkale where thermal waters wash over white travertine terraces.
The Turquoise Coast’s eastern tip has pristine beaches backed by olive groves and the pine-clad Taurus mountains. Antalya mixes bazaars with Ottoman architecture while Side has both Roman ruins and contemporary designer boutiques, with nearby Belek offering acclaimed seafront golf.
