TRANSPORTATION & AMENITIES
Dawn in the Design District
Publishers, furniture makers, architects: These are the businesses that have drawn San Franciscans to the Design District for decades. But with some of the city’s best weather and a prime location abutting US-101 and I-80—just minutes from the Mission, Potrero Hill, and SoMa—the neighborhood has recently welcomed a number of others to its 18 square blocks. From craft cocktails to dim sum, design firms to software developers, condos to concert venues, the Design District is awash with fresh faces.

THE FACTORY, REIMAGINED
GET TO KNOW THE NEIGHBORHOOD
We believe a PDR facility should be purpose-built for PDR—not yesterday’s garage trying to accommodate today’s tenant. Whether production, distribution, or repair, it should have work space but also production and manufacturing space. It should have biotech-grade HVAC. Drive-in access. Abundant power for modern machines. It should have the right tools for the job, whatever that may be. That might sound obvious, but 300 Kansas is the only facility in San Francisco built specifically for PDR.

nIGHTLIFE
PDR zoning reserves certain workspaces for companies in the production, distribution, and repair sector. The city’s eastern neighborhoods are home to many of these businesses, from furniture makers to coffee roasters. And they’re being joined by a number of newcomers. Biotech, robotics, autonomous vehicles—these are the businesses blazing new paths in the PDR sector. We built 300 Kansas for them.
