Applying for the CPS
Applications for our upcoming annual CPS round will be open from September 1 2025 until 21 September 2025. Access the application form, read through the eligibility criteria below and register for our information sessions.
We assess all eligible applications based on the CPS criteria and projects are to be commenced within twelve months. Shortlisted applications will be invited to a video conference interview to further explore their needs and how we can offer value.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, the applying organisation should:
be an Australian community organisation, not-for-profit organisation or a social enterprise (not-for-profit arms of for-profit enterprises are not eligible)
financially contribute to the project ($21,000 or 35% of the project’s total value, whichever is higher).
The project proposed in your application should:
contribute to positive social, cultural, economic and/or environmental outcomes
request support aligned with Nous’ service offers, including: Strategy, Public Policy, Economics, Transformation & Implementation, Organisational Performance, Leadership & Capability, Data & Analytics, Digital and Design
be commenced within 12 months.
Projects outside the scope include direct delivery of fundraising events; capital equipment grants and motor vehicles; purchase of land or buildings; refurbishment, renovation and fit-out; core operating costs; activities which collect funds for redistribution; overseas appeals; expeditions or overseas travel; sponsorships, including sponsorships of conferences, events and festivals.
Applicant information sessions
During the application period, we will host information sessions so applicants can ask questions about the scheme and the scope of work they are considering. These sessions are optional and open to all applicants. Attendance will not be recorded and has no bearing on outcomes.

STEP 1
Shortlisted applicants will meet with the CPS team to discuss their project needs, scope of work and how Nous can offer value. The CPS team will then complete their final assessments and applicants will be notified.
STEP 2
Successful applicants start working with Nous project teams to deliver on the agreed programs of work.
STEP 3
New CPS schedule launching in 2025
We are streamlining the CPS application process in 2025. Rather than running a spring and autumn round each year, we run one combined annual round which will launch in the first half of 2025. Successful applicants will then have 12 months, rather than six, to commence their projects.
