My name is Michael - I have been an interior designer for ten years and I get my influence from the shift to create a more sustainable design approach. But I also enjoy the continued innovation around the holistic approach to design. This seems to always have an impact on my intent.

What is your favorite piece – "My favorite furniture piece from Haworth is the Archibald. It’s refined and elegant lines and extremely comfortable sit will hopefully find its way in to my home one of these days."

What inspired you to become a designer – "After watching about the 100th episode of Candice Olson’s show on HGTV, I found myself wanting to create beautiful spaces that enriched people’s lives."

If you were to pick a favorite room in your home, which would it be – "The living room where there is a mixture of art, color and biophilia."

What is a must-have item you make sure your designs include – "A good mixture of natural materials, nothing to monotone or one note."

What design trend do you love at the moment – "The blending of harsh contrast with black metal and the raw elements of wood set on top of a neutral backdrop."

How would you define your design style – "I find my design style is as organic as the changing world we live in. Currently I would fall into a transitional style between contemporary and traditional. There is a lot of power in a space that can harness both attributes."

Our talented designer, Michael Fisher, is Michigan born and raised. It is in the small town of Grand Rapids, where his love for design was transformed into an Interior Design degree. After school, he worked at Haworth headquarters as a Knowledge Marketing Associate learning the ever-evolving culture behind workspace design. Next, he moved from the manufacturing and research side to the dealer side and sunny California as a member of PeopleSpace.
With love for creating better working spaces and a passion for helping people, Michael understands the importance of delivering the best space possible for each person he supports! “Designing is what I love to do most, and helping people bring their dreams to reality is a joy!”
