With today’s challenges, collaboration with the project team is more important than ever. A perfect example of this is a situation that occurred on the Rohr Road Development project in Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park. This project has more than a mile of off-site sanitary piping, which was required by the City of Columbus and had a lead time of 28 weeks that began after we received the permit approval. This would have delayed occupancy of the building by at least two months. In collaboration with Trucco Construction, Kimley Horn & Associates and the City of Columbus, we identified and proposed another product. The change resulted in a cost savings to the owner and shortened the lead time by three months, allowing us to turn this project over by our targeted completion date.
