At Persistent, ESG is not a parallel agenda but a core enabler of long-term resilience, responsible growth and stakeholder trust. As technology reshapes industries and societies, we believe enterprises that combine innovation with accountability and growth with stewardship will define responsible leadership in the AI era, resulting in strengthened operational resilience, responsible decision-making and enduring trust with clients, partners, investors and communities. As a UN Global Compact participant, with Net Zero 2050 targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we remain aligned with globally recognised frameworks and climate science. During FY26, we translated ESG commitments into measurable progress. We achieved a 62.90% reduction in marketbased emissions and a 20.20% reduction in location-based emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 (from the FY24 baseline), while sustaining carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions for the third year in a row. Global renewable energy adoption rose from 56.83% to 68.22%, with India-owned locations reaching 96.54%. We achieved Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) certification for six India-owned operations, along with 100% wastewater recycling, an 11.01% reduction in freshwater consumption, and plantation of nearly two lakh trees through Persistent Foundation initiatives. Governance remains central to our approach. We strengthened oversight through a double materiality assessment integrated into our Enterprise Risk Management framework and established a value-chain reporting process aligned with SEBI's BRSR requirements. On the social front, we achieved 98% overall learning coverage through continuous learning and AI-led skilling, trained 75% of suppliers (by value) on ESG aspects and 99.43% of employees completed training on EHS, Human Rights and the Annual Policy Compliance - Code of Conduct. With our inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index and a CSA score of 86, we now rank among the top 10% of IT services companies in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026. Looking ahead, we remain focused on deepening ESG integration across strategy, operations and value chains, balancing innovation, governance and societal impact to build durable long-term value.
