Accepted a role as an Analyst after graduating from Boston College.
2001
As a high performing analyst, Engin was approached by Jeff Dickson with the opportunity to join PGIM’s first commercial mezzanine fund at conception, now our Corporate Mezzanine strategy, of which we have five funds. Engin accepted the offer, was promoted to Associate and relocated to Chicago.
2003
Promoted to Director. She was a member of the Corporate Finance team for almost two years and then part of the Corporate Project & Workouts group.
2006
Relocated back to New York to manage the mezzanine and private placement activity in Eastern Canada, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Promoted to Vice President.
2010
Promoted to Senior Vice President.
2017
Completed her Executive MBA at MIT and was promoted to Managing Director overseeing the New York Global Corporate Finance regional office.
Coming on board as an Analyst out of Boston College, Engin Okaya quickly made a positive impression at PGIM Private Capital and was promoted twice within her first five years. With an inquisitive mind and strong drive to help clients succeed, Engin helped to launch our first corporate mezzanine fund. Later, she came back to New York to manage the mezzanine and private placement activity in New England and was soon promoted again to Vice President.
Currently, she is Managing Director of PGIM Private Capital's New York Global Corporate Finance office, where she oversees the private placement activity in the US Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic territories (including Bermuda) and Eastern Canada.
