Although the iPhone's screen is currently supplied by Samsung Display, Apple has reportedly invested some $2.7 billion into ramping up LG Display's manufacturing capacity for organic LED displays. In turn, to secure a steady supply of production contracts for Apple devices, LG announced in July that it would put $7 billion more into ramping up its two OLED factories in South Korea. The supplier also announced that it had already planned to invest $6.5 billion into the facilities.
