The strategic partnership has transformed the internet experience for Cablenet's customers, landing Cablenet the coveted position of #1 Communications Service Provider (CSP) for customer satisfaction in Cyprus. This recognition ultimately led to Cablenet becoming the fastest-growing telco provider in Cyprus. Following the successful rollout of Plume’s HomePass into Cablenet’s own network, Cablenet is extending its partnership with Plume to introduce HomePass to households outside its current network footprint ‘over-the-top’—regardless of these customers’ respective CSP service provider.
The challenge
As the leading telecommunications provider in Cyprus, Cablenet wanted to meet its customers' ever-evolving demands for smart, seamless, and uninterrupted internet connectivity. After receiving an increase in connectivity-related complaints, by early 2019, Cablenet knew that building a superior WiFi experience for the smart home would be more meaningful to Cablenet customer than broadband speeds. Cablenet needed an off-the-shelf product with unique add-on features that would be fast to deploy. Believing customer experience to be its primary competitive differentiator in the telecommunications industry, Cablenet wanted to shake up the status quo, disrupt the market, and present itself as an experience driver.
The solution
Cablenet was in the market for a long-term partnership that would help it lay the foundations of the future home experience for Cablenet customers. Recognizing the need for an innovative and robust solution, Cablenet partnered with Plume to enhance Cablenet’s services and deliver next-level connectivity to customers. In May 2019, Cablenet launched UltraWiFi, powered by Plume HomePass®, to Cablenet customers as an add-on to their monthly broadband subscription. Three years later, Cablenet introduced the premium offering, Purple Max Internet, integrating fiber broadband with HomePass in a single, comprehensive package.
