The Double Windsor
The Double Windsor is the perfect spot to recover and people-watch. Its burgers, catfish sandwich, and specials are delicious, and I love to post up at the front window with a beer and quietly cheer on runners who are about to enter Prospect Park.
DUB Pies
DUB Pies' Australian-style flat white coffee is the perfect postrun pick-me-up. As I find it hard to commit to just one of its delicious pies, I tend to go for the mini versions. My favorites are Thai chicken and the steak and cheese.
Stoop Juice
The manager of Stoop Juice is so friendly and knowledgeable about nutrition that I usually end up hanging out and chatting. Its smoothies, acai bowls, and juices are fresh and reasonably priced, and it carries lots of healthy snacks. My order is the Antioxidant juice — it makes me feel like I can take on the world.
Grand Army Plaza
Grand Army Plaza is worth the detour. On an ordinary day, it's just beautiful, and on Saturday, it hosts the Greenmarket.
It's a great place to grab local produce, and I always, always run into someone I know!
The Bad Wife
As locals know, The Bad Wife is named after co-owner Mrs. Li, who badgered her husband to double the size of the store about 10 years ago. They are the cutest couple in the world, and Mrs. Li takes such pride in their selection of seasonal flowers. After my run, I love to congratulate myself with a bunch of lillies. Carrying flowers is also the perfect excuse to take a cab home!
Baked in Brooklyn
This charming neighborhood bakery has my favorite chocolate muffin and coffee. I like to go pick up this treat and also catch views of the open kitchen.

The UA HOVR Sonic makes me feel light, even as the miles pile up, and feels stable on cracked sidewalks, uphills, tarmac, and everywhere else my run takes me.
