That’s why I really appreciate hiking Ernest E. Debs Park, home to the Audubon Center. If you keep climbing up and up the City View Trail, you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful view.

We get out on our trikes every day the weather permits as we have a great bike trail. From Northwest 142nd to Wildwood Park is a 1.3-mile, moderately trafficked point-to-point trail that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from
April until September.

There are so many indie bookstores and boutiques, plus markets that feature farm-fresh produce and flowers.

The beginning of spring isn’t exactly lie-out-in-a-bathing-suit weather at the Jersey Shore — but it is prime time for pups to hit the beach and boardwalk. Until May 16, dogs are welcome to play off-leash on the sand at the 8th Avenue Dog Beach, so I plan to give my new pup the true Jersey experience in this particularly dog-friendly town during the locals-only season.

As soon as the lake unfreezes and
the snow finishes melting, we take the kayaks out of hibernation. We have very chill kayaks (the kind that come with cupholders), so it tends to be less of a mission and more of a meander. When we get back we like to stretch out on the dock to soak up the remaining sun-shine before it goes below the treeline.

The beginning of spring isn’t exactly lie-out-in-a-bathing-suit weather at the Jersey Shore — but it is prime time for pups to hit the beach and boardwalk. Until May 16, dogs are welcome to play off-leash on the sand at the 8th Avenue Dog Beach, so I plan to give my new pup the true Jersey experience in this particularly dog-friendly town during the locals-only season.

Once spring arrives, I'll be hitting Bay-shore Boulevard in Tampa with my temporary roommate (A.K.A. my mom) most weekends to bike ride by the water, enjoy the fresh air, and soak up as much warmth and sunshine as I possibly can. After riding for a few miles along the bay, we like to loung in Curtis Hixon Water-front Park, which has amazing views of the University of Tampa.

If I HAD TO pick a favorite spot, there's nothing better than a good stroll through Prospect Park. The dogs with the cute names like Tyler and Perry are out! Everyone has their cute blanket with their cut up watermelon! There's always a dance circle going on that I never want to join! I can't get enough!
