Being able to re-enter society again feels equal parts thrilling and stressful. On the one hand, some of those recurring video calls are finally getting removed from your calendar; on the other hand, in-person invitations are starting to roll into your inbox — and ratchet up your anxiety levels if you’re not quite ready.
When your social calendar fills up again, you might find yourself wishing you could say no and stay home again occasionally — and that's OK. Let us be the first to suggest that your new normal involves plenty of me time at home. Next time you're craving some relaxation, try one of these solo activities for the ultimate afternoon in.

Mediterranean
Upcycled Tie-Dye
EDIBLE
GaRDEN
There's something special about being able to wander into the backyard to pick a sprig of mint for your evening cocktail. Make that kind of garden-to-table lifestyle possible for yourself by planting an edible garden. Herbs like mint, basil, and lavender can be used in everything from pasta dishes to baked goods to cocktails made with Pure Leaf Unsweetened Black Tea. Edible flowers like violets also make a spectacular garnish.
Feeling a little bored by your closet? Upcycle some plain white tees, socks, or even hats with a bit of tie-dye. Look for garments made from only one fabric — cotton, rayon, and nylon hold dye particularly well — then mix colors to your heart's content. Creating something new out of materials you already have feels so exciting — plus, vibrant tie-dye patterns are the perfect summer accessory.

With the right accoutrements, dining al fresco can turn into an escape from everyday life. You're not just eating lunch in the backyard — you're picnicking on a Mediterranean beach. Layer a few different blankets for extra comfy seating, then serve yourself an assortment of ripe summer fruits, olives, cheeses, and fresh bread to channel an Italian vibe. Sipping chilled Pure Leaf Unsweetened Black Tea out of chic glassware feels almost decadent in this setting. Talk about la dolce vita.
