Yoga with a side of "what you needed to hear today," Jessamyn Stanley's The Underbelly ($20/month) is part yoga practice, part therapy. Her inclusive teaching style comes with expletives, cat cameos, and honest pose cueing you've never heard before (think "move your belly to go deeper"). Altogether, she creates the ideal environment for virtual yoga practice: one that feels intimate, enlightening, and profoundly unserious. We came for the yoga and stayed because Stanley feels like a friend.

Look, there's a reason we haven't stopped talking about Peloton since 2020. This do-it-all app offers everything from strength and HIIT to yoga and meditation, but the treadmill, cycling, and bootcamp workouts are where it really shines. With new classes dropping on the daily and empowering instructors who push you to your limits, the Peloton App ($13/month) is the one we pull up when we just need to sweat.
For a workout app that truly cares, drop in on Future Fitness ($149/month). Future pairs you with a personal trainer who designs a personalized workout plan to suit your lifestyle, complete with check-ins to assess progress and provide motivation. You can even chat with a trainer mid-workout if you need help, but the detailed video instruction for each routine means you probably won't have to. We love that it is so damn user-friendly and integrates seamlessly with the Apple Watch.
