In the eight years since we launched our Best New Bartenders program (formerly known as Bartender in Residence), our mission has remained the same: to celebrate the next generation of talent in the industry. Even as the program has grown—from an intimate takeover of our studio apartment–sized Brooklyn office to an editorial franchise and event series with national reach—the heart of BNB has always been to promote bartenders who have gone on to make a lasting impact, on both sides of the bar. This year, we’re partnering with Astral Tequila, who brings shared values of sustainability and social responsibility to the forefront of this initiative. The class of 2025 and their cocktails embody this approach.
