This excellent little lo-fi wine bar, one of the newest in Melbourne, focuses on minimal intervention wines and house-fermented snacks and drinks. Reclaiming food waste from other venues in the restaurant group (Aru and Sunda; both outstanding) for its menu, drinks like the plum wine, kombucha and banana miso milk punch are funky in all the right ways. A short and fast-moving wine list features excellent, mostly local choices, and snacks like kangaroo with treacle sauce and preserved beach herbs showcase some of the most interesting cooking in Melbourne without committing to a tasting menu.
