Melbourne’s original whiskey bar, this tiny downtown hole in the wall is far from the boy-germy, Chesterfield and cigar vibes most whiskey bars throw off. Casual and humble, it still manages to sport the most interesting whiskey list in the country, with a prodigious cellar that includes rare and vintage bottles scoured from across the globe. Owners Brooke Hayman and Julian White have spent a decade building up relationships with producers from Scotland to South Australia, allowing them and their staff (this writer included) access to, and knowledge of, whiskey that would be hard to match anywhere in the world.
