Beer Belly Tenma
Tourists rarely visit the Tenma district in the city’s northeast, but they should. It’s quintessential Osaka: loud, fun, rustic, cheap and mad about food and drink. It’s there you will find the city’s best pub, operated by Minoh Beer, the women-run Osaka brewery that can’t stop winning awards. Taps along the 12-meter counter pour Minoh classics and seasonal specials, such as the ume saison or Rice Shower IPA, but the true highlights are the hand-pumped real ales. There is a more central Beer Belly, too, but drinking in Tenma is much more fun.
