1-2-15 Honmachi, Moriguchi
Rogin's Tavern
Fancy a sip of a bourbon from Grover Cleveland’s time? You can find it in the suburb of Moriguchi, a 30-minute train ride away, where Seiichiro Tatsumi has amassed one of the world’s most unique bourbon lineups. In the 1980s, Tatsumi scoured liquor stores across the United States, finding hundreds of rare treasures that he now serves by the glass in his three-story tavern. It’s a trek from Osaka’s city center, but people make pilgrimages from as far as Kentucky and Tennessee to visit a bar that essentially doubles as a time machine.
