Technology in
the classroom
Kuper Academy continually strives to innovate and introduced its extensive technology in the classroom program years ago. Working closely with a cutting edge
IT company that provides all of the necessary infrastructure as well as global support, Kuper successfully integrates technology into daily school life. Two in-school technology consultants work daily to train the teachers and students and help them weave technology into the curriculum.
Teachers
Every teacher is trained and has successfully completed
their Apple Teacher Certification to learn new ways to enhance creativity and productivity in their daily classes
and workflows.
Since Kuper is an official Google school, all students have their own email addresses and can access all of the tools that are designed to help with productivity on the web-based platform. These tools include Google Docs, Slides and Sheets, which can be used to create spreadsheets in their finance classes or slide shows in geography, for example.
Google School
for Education
Helping with its goal of transforming the school into a paperless environment, Kuper’s robust IT program permits students to access documents, view class material, and
edit and annotate their notes on their iPads via Google Classroom, whether it’s in math, science, English or
French. Many of the workbooks and textbooks are now available digitally as well.

iPad use begins in pre-school at an introductory level, continues through Grades 3 and 4 and is mandatory
once students reach Grade 5 until they graduate from
high school.
iPAD PROGRAM
All students in Grades 1 through 6 take a computer science class where they learn the basics of digital literacy, how to use Google Classroom, email etiquette and coding. Once in high school, students’ computer science knowledge is enriched with classes that tend towards the digital/robotics side, and use Swift Playgrounds.

The school recently switched to fiber optic technology, which helps all of its web-based programs run smoother and faster than ever before in all three school buildings.
