The door took up too much space, the pantry seemed disconnected from the kitchen and the family wanted a large island for entertaining. A more modern kitchen was in order.

The kitchen functions better and the 10-foot island is stunning and practical. The quartz countertop and backsplash, walnut cabinets and modern hardware complete the transformation.

An adjacent staircase was narrow and furniture placement was awkward. The homeowners rarely used the fireplace and wanted a cozy family room that was an extension of the kitchen.

The accents from the kitchen were carried into the family room and acoustic slat wood panels framed the space. Storage space was improved with a new patio door for better access to the backyard.

The dark, uninviting mudroom/laundry room needed more storage and space to put on shoes and move around.

By reconfiguring duct work, storage was improved and the family had better function. A wooden bench, sink and countertop with white quartz counters gave the room a light, bright feel.
