Corporate
Partners closely with Leadership and Staff to monitor and respond to government policies that influence the DEI landscape. This includes staying engaged on issues such as planned developments and zoning, sustainability initiatives, historic preservation, TIF programs, and other policy updates. The team also facilitates trainings—like Unconscious Bias—to help employees recognize everyday behaviors that foster a more equitable and inclusive workplace.
At the core of our program are strategic partnerships with a strong network of pre-apprenticeship programs and community organizations promoting careers in the trades. Our team supports these partners by teaching classes and trade demonstrations, facilitating introductions with our subcontractor partners, and regularly engaging in job readiness training like mock interviews.
Workforce Development
We focus on early outreach in high schools, community colleges, and universities to raise awareness about career opportunities and the growing demand for skilled labor. From project managers and designers to trades specialists, our industry offers dynamic, evolving careers for people with all levels of training. Our team also manages the Power Scholarship Program, supporting high school students pursuing AEC-related paths.
Educational Outreach
For more than 30 years, Power has partnered with local contractor associations that champion minority-, women-, and small business enterprises, ensuring equitable access to opportunities in construction. Through project-specific outreach programs, we work to maximize participation—resulting in an average annual diverse spend of approximately $200-300m with minority and women-business enterprises.
