This app allows for weight on bit compensation for inaccuracies in the hook load system. While drilling the weight on bit drops off due as the stand is lowered to the drill floor due to inaccuracies in the measurement location. The app automatically applies a calculated amount of weight as the stand is drilled down allowing for a consistent weight on bit throughout the drilling process.
WOB COMPENSATOR
Host's continuous learning capabilities enabling improved ROP resulting in reduced well time. App uses artificial intelligence, by comparing current wellbore parameters against offset parameters detecting environmental changes and automating new parameter roadmaps.
KAIZEN
Automated pressure-controlled process used to manage annular pressure profile during managed pressure drilling. The app allows for reduced MPD crew on the rig and is managed through the Alpha automation console with the press of a button and set parameters for controlling MPD. The automated process allows for a smooth transition of pump ramp ups and choke control providing a consistent bottom hole pressure.

By effectively using Z-Torque and Twister II as part of their operations, the customer was able to achieve a record drilling productivity of 0.50 days/1000ft in North American Shale out of 2900 wells. This performance was achieved using a mud motor in the lateral section and is comparable to the average performance of a subsequent pad in the same area that was drilled with rotary steerable in the lateral.
