Our roots as the community’s partner in health run deep: Over the decades, we’ve joined forces with countless organizations to bring a greater sense of well-being to our more vulnerable citizens.
We’re a health care organization that believes in taking care of our citizens – inside our clinical spaces and out in the community. We’ve been practitioners of care for more than a century. And for as long, we’ve been looking beyond our walls to see how we can practice care in our neighborhoods, too.
Swedish was founded in 1910 as a not-for-profit. We continue in that capacity today.
We partner with PRIDE Foundation, Gay City, Camp Ten Trees, Entre Hermanos and Seattle Counseling Services.
Taking care, inside and out

In 2018, our employees volunteered more than 13,000 hours to community organizations in the greater Seattle area.
