TCFD reporting
Reporting as part of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures
The Financial Stability Board (FSB) created the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in 2015 to improve and increase reporting of better climate-related financial information.
The TCFD developed a framework, published in 2017, which primarily aims to ensure that financial risks and opportunities related to climate change become a natural part of companies’ risk management and strategic planning processes.
The disclosures required under TCFD will help investors and others understand how reporting organisations think about and assess climate-related risks and opportunities, ultimately leading to a more efficient allocation of capital to support the climate transition.

Entity-level reports
In addition to entity-level reporting, under the TCFD Framework, Investec Wealth & Investments UK was also required to produce reports at a product level. Before this, he was Sales Director of Strategic Partners at F&C Investments for nearly a decade and also spent several years at Barclays Stockbrokers. He joined the industry in 1989 and holds the IMC.

Prior to joining Rathbones in 2016, Alfie spent 4 years at BGC Group as an interdealer bond broker specialising in UK government and corporate bonds and 1 year as a Business Development Executive at Franklin Templeton. Alfie holds the Investment Management Certificate (Level 4) and a BA (Hons) Politics degree from the University of Leeds.

He specialises in discretionary fund management, MPS and multi-asset investment solutions for the financial adviser market. He joined Rathbones in 1993 and spent the first 23 years of his career working in Operations. In 2016, Gerry moved into a business development role and became a Key Account Manager working with a national strategic partner. In 2019, he became a Business Development Director responsible for developing relationships and supporting Financial Advisers in the region. In 2024, Gerry became the Head of North Distribution helping to support growth across the North region.
