REMAX's October National Housing Report, which surveyed 51 metro areas, is out now. For the 5th month in 2025, home sales were up (3.2%) when compared to last year. Overall, homes took longer
to sell, +43 days from a year ago and +2 days from last month. Let's dive into what these numbers mean for both homebuyers and sellers.
Housing Report Snapshot:
Median sales price was up 2.2% year over year and 1.1% higher than September.
New Listings were up 0.8% year over year but down slightly (0.5%) month over month.
Sellers accepted 98% of the asking price in October, down from 99% in October 2024.

Home sales were up 3.2% from last year and up 1.7% from September 2025. This was the fifth month of 2025 where sales outpaced the previous year.
