Summer Interns
Rotex has always been an active recruiter throughout local colleges. We are devoted to early career development and helping increase interest in manufacturing careers. Rotex is owned by Hillenbrand, a global diversified industrial company. Since the acquisition, Rotex and Hillenbrand have combined efforts to create the Hillenbrand Internship Program. This has extended the reach of the program and improved the student summer experience. Hillenbrand helps with recruiting events and resources, and also provides company outings and weekly activities for the interns. This provides a unique opportunity to students, as Hillenbrand owns six subsidiaries across a wide variety of industries in locations across the globe.

What is your major?: Industrial and Systems Engineering
What Projects have you worked on at Rotex?: I've worked on the Apex Screens Assembly Kaizen event and Final Assembly Flow
What have you enjoyed from working at Rotex?: Attending high level meetings and learning more about what goes into building a Rotex machine. Also, participating in the Apex Screens Assembly Kaizen and collaborating with people from different departments.

What Projects have you worked on at Rotex?: I've worked on the Photograph Release Form Audit, I-9 Compliance, Service Anniversaries and Data Compliance
What have you enjoyed from working at Rotex?: I've really enjoyed everyone I have met and worked with, the knowledge I am gaining, and the workplace environment Rotex provides for their employees.

What is your major?: Mechanical Engineering
What Projects have you worked on at Rotex?: I've worked on the Assembly process of seal/transition cap covers with VHB tape, de-featuring machine 3D models for customers use and bearing fit research.
What have you enjoyed from working at Rotex?: I enjoy the casual, friendly atmosphere in both the office and shop floor. Everyone is willing to answer questions and talk about their job.

What is your major?: Computer Programming and Database Management
What Projects have you worked on at Rotex?: I've worked on different projects including Experlogix, Configurators, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
What have you enjoyed from working at Rotex?: The staff are all welcoming and willing to answer any questions I have.
Where are you from?: Manila, Philippines
What school are you attending?: University of Notre Dame
What is your major?: Business Analytics with a minor in Sociology
What Projects have you worked on at Rotex?: I've worked on LTL Freight and Logistics Costs Savings, Data Mining for Optimal Cut Length for Metal Extrusion, and a decision tree diagaram that assists employees in picking which freight company to use for shipping.
What have you enjoyed from working at Rotex?: The people here are incredible and they always make sure you are learning something everyday. Probably the best thing about a Rotex internship is having the autonomy to lead your own projects. If there's a problem, Rotex grants you whatever tools you need to solve it, from software applications to data in the company. Your projects greatly impact the company and it's nice knowing that your hard work is being implemented in the company's daily activities.
