In 2021, Russell Investments launched a Diversity Mentorship Program sponsored by the Black ARG. The program consists of traditional coaching, reverse mentorship, and sponsorship and participants are paired with an executive in the firm.
The WISE program was founded by two female wholesalers in Russell Investments’ North American business to provide mentorship and educational opportunities to women in sales. WISE ensures new female joiners in sales are assigned another female mentor, and they sponsor quarterly educational events with guest speakers (internal and external). Due to strong interest in WISE, Russell Investments is exploring expanding the program across the business, in other departments but also globally.
Russell Investments encourages their multiple Associate Resource Groups to create and facilitate educational programming for associates that will continually promote the attraction, development and retention of our diverse talent. This programming may be provided by external speakers, or by Russell Investments associates. Our Associate Resource Groups sponsored over 45 events in 2020.
