SAIC, through the eighth consecutive year of combating hunger in America through its partnership with Feeding America, raised $385,338 during Hunger Action Month in September 2021 — the equivalent of more than 3.8 million meals for people facing food insecurity.
SAIC employees participated in a wide variety of activities, including virtual and in-person fundraising events, as well as volunteering at food banks in their communities. They raised $205,388 through direct contributions, which were paired with a company donation of $180,000.
More than 42 million Americans, including 13 million children, will experience food insecurity in 2021. SAIC employees were proud to partner with Feeding America, helping the nation's largest hunger-relief organization to provide over 4.3 billion meals annually and helping one in seven Americans facing hunger live a more secure and stable life. Over the last eight years, SAIC has raised the equivalent of nearly 20 million meals with Feeding America.
