Inclusion Delivers Innovation
We believe the more diverse an organization is, the more productive, agile and innovative we make it. We design and execute initiatives to develop a workforce that rapidly acquires new skills and applies them daily to deliver innovative solutions. Our efforts to foster a talented team who reflect the diversity of our customers has never been stronger. We believe in incubating our internal talent and aligning our employees' aspirations with the needs of our customers, while continuing our progress to ensure our leaders reflect the diversity of the teams they lead. I am proud that currently, 73% of my executive leadership team is comprised of women or people of color; and the Board of Directors is 46% women and 36% people of color. Notably, based on our population of full-time, non-executive employees, our gender pay gap continues to be approximately 1% for the compensation of women relative to men.
Shaping the Future
We continue to focus internally on our sustainability efforts and externally on empowering our customers through science and technology applications, such as tackling environmental challenges and contributing to global discussions and actions on climate resilience and change. While there is more work to do to combat rising climate change, we reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions 41% since our baseline year in 2019.

ESG Governance
Establish SAIC as the industry leader in corporate responsibility and sustainability efforts to better our business, our customers’ endeavors and employees’ lives and the communities in which we live and operate.
ESG Vision
Deliver SAIC business and stakeholder value through ESG by pursuing new business opportunities; practicing environmental stewardship, social responsibility and workforce engagement; and managing risk with a focus on increased transparency, comprehensive performance measurement and overall accountability to ensure SAIC’s sustainable future.
Mission
Our ESG strategy is a rolling three-year plan informed by the company’s strategic priorities, industry best practices, evolving government rules and regulations, third-party assessments of our ESG efforts, our materiality assessment and our own internal evaluation. Our ESG strategy connects the topics of most importance to our stakeholders and business collectively, in support of our mission to deliver long-term value. Our three strategic pillars lend structure to our ESG efforts, help with goal setting and allocate resources in a thoughtful and measured way. This contributes to a sustainable and thriving business for all stakeholders.
Strategy
ESG Materiality
We regularly identify the environmental, social and governance topics that are of greatest importance to our business and to our stakeholders. Our stakeholders include our Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, customers, investors, suppliers, community partners and all levels of employees. We completed an ESG materiality assessment in early 2023, which is the basis of our current ESG strategy, including the following material areas of impact:
Ethics and compliance
Cybersecurity, data security and privacy
Corporate culture
Employee well-being and talent management
Corporate governance
Diversity, equity and inclusion
We continue to listen and engage with our stakeholders by sharing our business strategy and priorities, obtaining direct feedback, surveying as appropriate and partnering to address specific issues and opportunities.

Risk Oversight
We sustain and cultivate our industry-leading ethical culture through a high-performing ethics program that deploys enterprise-wide training, guidance, communications, engagement, reporting and resolution services.
The Ethics Office is part of SAIC’s Risk, Ethics and Compliance organization, reporting directly to the Office of the General Counsel. Every member of the team holds certifications as ethics and compliance professionals. The Ethics Office has direct access to the chair of the Board’s Risk Oversight Committee. It provides quarterly updates to the Risk Oversight Committee that include helpline and misconduct reporting statistics; details on all investigations and resolutions; risk assessments and mitigation strategy; culture of ethics assessment or survey findings; and any information critical to the program’s success.
We expect all employees to abide by SAIC’s Code of Conduct. Our Code of Conduct helps build a strong foundation for our day-to-day behaviors, stakeholder commitments and high business standards. In FY24, 100% of our employees successfully acknowledged SAIC’s Code of Conduct and completed assigned ethics training.
SAIC takes all reports about unethical or unlawful behavior seriously, listens carefully to concerns, conducts investigations objectively and takes appropriate corrective actions when warranted. Employees may report a breach to our integrity or our Code of Conduct anonymously or on a disclosed basis. An independent third party hosts our helpline and website reporting form, which is available 24/7. SAIC stands behind its employees and enforces a strict non-retaliation policy. We do not tolerate any acts of retaliation against those who make reports of misconduct in good faith.
Establishing and maintaining trust in the ethics case-management process is of utmost importance. Employees can check the status of their cases — even when they submit anonymously. For transparency, we publish quarterly summaries of substantiated cases and overall metrics on our company intranet.
Ethics and Compliance
On a biennial basis, we survey our employees about the company’s ethics program using a third party to help with benchmarking and to ensure the survey is confidential and anonymous. We work with the vendor to measure the essentials of an ethics program, as it aligns with, among other guidelines, the Department of Justice’s Sentencing Guidelines.
In our most recent Ethics survey, SAIC outperformed its benchmark across all eight ethical categories. The survey responses showed the importance of company leaders in creating our culture of ethics ― assessing our leaders’ role as exceptional.
The third party benchmarked SAIC against companies in the aerospace and defense sector, the business and professional services sector and the engineering services sector reflecting more than 90,000 respondents across 18 companies.
What our employees tell us about our ethical culture
SAIC outperformed industry benchmarks in all ethics categories.
Our leaders’ role in creating our culture of ethics was assessed as exceptional.
SAIC employees completed nearly
55,000
hours of ethics and compliance training in FY24
Our employees completed almost 55,000 hours of ethics and compliance training in FY24. We require training based on both an enterprise risk review and risks specific to job responsibilities and assignments. Our ethics and compliance training program:
Receives development input from functions outside of our Risk, Ethics and Compliance organization
Refreshes training and uses a modality of delivery to ensure employees experience engaging content
Integrates elements identified through risk assessment, evaluation or other risk factors to target specific and select audiences
Assigns additional training at a manager or business unit leader’s request
Maintains a library of courses that employees can elect to take on demand
Our Ethics Champions — more than 85 employees across the company and at all major corporate and customer sites — work as liaisons to our business groups. They expand our communications reach and foster an ethical culture by encouraging people to speak up when they think there may be an ethical issue. We share expectations to our ethics partners in writing, provide them with training and furnish resources to help them fulfill their role. Ethics Champions meet regularly with the Ethics Office to hear first-hand from company leadership about issues and opportunities ― and to share back to leadership about the ethical culture across SAIC.
SAIC is involved with organizations that let us share insights and learn from other ethics and compliance professionals. As a long-standing steering committee member of the Defense Industry Initiative, we have been integral to the nonprofit organization’s commitment to providing best practices tools and materials that strengthen the entire ethics and compliance landscape as well as in the planning and execution of best practice forums. Our participation in other organizations such as the Ethics & Compliance Initiative, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, the Defense Industry Initiative and the Compliance and Business Ethics Network lets us contribute to research in the field, participate in white paper development and appear as panelists at conferences and webinars.
SAIC partners with our customers to help transform government. We do this through our employees and suppliers — and understand that businesses can only thrive where everyone respects human rights.
Our human rights efforts are consistent with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and reflect our commitment that everyone has a right to a work environment free of coercion, discrimination and harassment. We prohibit discriminatory actions based on national origin, race, color, religion, gender, ancestry, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, marital status, veteran status, genetic information and any other status protected by law. We demand the same standard from our suppliers and other third parties, which includes adhering to legal requirements prohibiting human trafficking and complying with all applicable local laws and regulations where we operate.

SAIC Commitment to Human Rights
Our customers and employees rely on data to help support their missions in a secure environment. Given this critical nature of our business and its potential impact on national security, data privacy and cybersecurity are an integral part of everything we do. SAIC has expertise across all functions for securing and operating digital assets and services in a safe and secure manner. Combined with our unique technological solutions, SAIC’s cybersecurity capability comprehensively answers the challenges of a complex and continually evolving cyberspace and data landscape for our customers and for our own operations.
Alongside our technical expertise is our commitment to securing our data systems while ensuring we protect our customers and business partners, as well as current and prospective employees. Our Chief Privacy Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Security Officer and Chief Data Officer co-chair SAIC’s Privacy and Data Protection Council. The Council provides enterprise-wide awareness and centralized oversight of privacy and data protection matters, satisfies legal and regulatory compliance requirements and successfully manages associated risks. SAIC’s enterprise risk management process monitors the privacy and data protection risks identified by the Council. The Board regularly receives reports on these risks and associated mitigations via its Risk Oversight Committee.
Cybersecurity, Data Security and Privacy
Guided by our 21 Enterprise Cyber Champion Leaders, our 384 Enterprise Cyber Champions work across every function and location of the company to help ensure every employee understands their role in cybersecurity. How? By:
400 Cyber Champions across all functions and locations
Acting as an extension of the cybersecurity team
Meeting monthly to learn from each other and participating in activities such as a hack-a-thon or ransomware table-top exercise
Promoting cybersecurity policies within their own department or team
Socializing potential Cyber and IT solutions with their colleagues and providing feedback to the team
Functioning as an intermediary between the cybersecurity team and other parts of the organization in communicating when policies or solutions impede operations and workflows — and helping create and implement authorized workarounds
Our champions not only serve as cybersecurity role models, they share their passion for cybersecurity, knowledge of enterprise security best practices and insights as they demonstrate a commitment to a security culture.
Strengthening Our Security
While no security is 100% foolproof, we look to continue to strengthen our rigor through the following:
SAIC is a Named Leader: IDC MarketScape: U.S. National Civilian Government Professional Security Services 2024 Vendor Assessment (February 2024)

SAIC aligns with internationally recognized standards and our information security management system is certified to international standards. These include the ISO 27001 information security management systems standard and nationally recognized security standards such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s SP 800-171 safeguarding controlled unclassified information on non-federal information systems and organizations. For cybersecurity, we hold a 27001 certification. We incorporate industry best practices and guides where applicable, such as the MITRE attack framework, SANS Incident Response Process, Center for Internet Security guides and more. We participate in industry groups such as the National Defense Information Sharing and Analysis Center and Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Working Group, as well as other forums that help us stay aware of the latest tactics, techniques and best practices.
We regularly review and update our security practices to address evolving requirements, technologies and threats. SAIC has well-established procedures in place to ensure external data processors have adequate security and that appropriate cyber requirements are followed.
To ensure our employees understand and help in our cybersecurity efforts, we do a broad mix of cyber-related training and communications that includes annual training, phishing training exercises, security blogs, cyber education videos, a cyber awareness month, and regular meetings with our Enterprise Cyber Champions and other ongoing communications efforts featured in SAIC’s formal channels.
Innovation
We empower our people to take appropriate risks and leverage emerging technology to solve our customers’ most complex problems.
We see the results through satisfied and returning customers as well as third-party acknowledgements such as:

SAIC’s purpose is to advance the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world ― and we do that every day.
One way we meet our purpose is by helping our customers mitigate risk and improve their adaptation to climate change by using our science-based technology solutions. We help:
NASA track and monitor the globe, from the ocean depths to the clouds, to understand climate trends. Our scientists help the agency understand what phytoplankton populations in the ocean tell us about shifts in carbon emissions. They use topography and computer algorithms to understand how the effects of erosion shape the Earth’s surface. They also read cloud patterns and air currents to help NASA decipher the shifting skies to predict and prepare for weather events around the world.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and its ability to ―
We also help customers with missions to serve the nation’s citizens.
The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) fundamental role is protecting Americans’ health by keeping the nation’s food safe. Since 2012, SAIC has provided science and engineering services to the FDA. We support 2,400 high performance computing workstations and thousands of scientists and researchers, giving them the ability to influence decisions for enhancing public health better and faster that includes studies and analyses that yield more nutritious food and prevent foodborne illnesses.SAIC’s work with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) includes enhancing the authoritative data source for military history to determine eligibility for benefits, from educational to home loans, to which a veteran is entitled, as well as improving claims processing for veterans. As a result, the VA is able to focus on providing a safe and efficient experience for veterans and their survivors to access benefits and services.
Predict climate change working with the agency’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, where SAIC supports data management, high-performance computing, programming, AI and modeling efforts. Through enhancing the lab’s climate simulation codes and providing computational insights to better model complicated atmospheric interactions, our core framework lets research scientists achieve better predictions.
Enable early detection of tsunamis to help public safety authorities direct coastal populations out of harm’s way. For more than a decade, SAIC has been building deep-sea sensor buoys that continuously record and transmit oceanic measurements for use in forecasting and alerts. We are now developing new systems and using the data to detect tsunamis more available and reliable, and improve the forecast of tsunami intensity and arrival times as well as the predictions for how tsunami wave inundation would affect coastal communities.

Environmental Stewardship
We are committed to reducing any negative impacts our business may have on the environment. Through our ongoing risk assessments, we have narrow exposure to environmental risks. When we identify a material risk, we address it. (See our Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, or TCFD, Report for more detail on risk and how the company manages it.)
Because we take our environmental commitment seriously, we set self-imposed goals for greenhouse gas emissions, energy conservation and other important initiatives. As importantly, we regularly look for additional opportunities to lessen our environmental impacts while balancing them with our business priorities.
Environment
At SAIC, we:
SAIC’s Environmental Reporting Approach
Implement ISO 14001 environmental management standards, promote initiatives to reduce our direct environmental impacts, and track and report key performance metrics. For additional details, see our ISO 14001 Standards Fact Sheet.
Report our environmental performance through well-accepted Global Reporting Initiative Standards 2021, the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and the CDP global disclosure system.
Employ the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard methodology to determine our GHG emissions inventory.
Obtain independent assurance for our GHG emissions inventory. For calendar year 2023, this is a Type 2 moderate assurance in adherence to the AA1000 AccountAbility Principles (AA1000AS v3) of inclusivity, materiality, responsiveness and impact.
We look for ways to understand our impacts and potentially reduce or mitigate them. In 2023, we set goals that we achieved or made significant progress toward.

We focus our efforts on electrical energy consumption from our real estate portfolio by tracking and evaluating electricity consumption and efficiency at facilities where we have operational control. In calendar year 2023, we reduced our electrical energy consumption by 7.14% from 2022 levels, with a total consumption of 25,833,192 kWh. For the last five years, we have consistently decreased electricity use from our efforts across our portfolio to improve operating efficiencies. These include optimizing space utilization, retiring under-performing assets as part of our leasing strategies, deploying energy-efficient lighting and implementing programs addressing after-hours setback and controls for heating and cooling.

When it comes to the disposal of retired SAIC electronic and computer equipment, we take a responsible approach as we:
Refurbish laptops and monitors whenever possible
Resell formerly owned electronics to maximize their lifecycles
Recycle electronics that we cannot refurbish
Additionally, we offer our employees:
A 25% discount on purchases of SAIC pre-owned, certified refurbished equipment
An opportunity to securely recycle their personal electronic and computer equipment at different times and through many location
Paper Use Reduction
For employees who are working from a SAIC facility, we program all network multi-function printers to print double-sided documents, which reduces paper use and disposal by up to 50%. We use a minimum of 30% recycled paper for all our network multi-function printers. We also provide bins for secure shredding and recycling of documents.
For our employees working remotely, extremely limited offsite printing is available, which contributes to paper reduction and increased security of sensitive documents.

Support and engage with non-profit, diverse organizations
Measure results and hold ourselves accountable
In FY24, we achieved significant progress of workforce diversity, equity and inclusion through internal efforts, employee development, talent acquisition and employee engagement.
Notably, based on our population of full-time, non-executive employees, our gender pay gap continues to be approximately 1% for the compensation of women relative to men.
In FY21, we set goals to achieve parity in the representation of women and people of color between our leader and non-leadership roles by the end of FY26. Our goal is to ensure that our leadership reflects our workforce, and our workforce reflects the customers and communities we serve. In FY23, we achieved our parity goal for women in leadership, and in FY24, we sustained it at 28%. In FY24, we continued our progress improving parity for people of color in leadership by 2% for a total of 25% of leaders being people of color.
We develop a diverse leadership team from our existing workforce by promoting diverse candidate slates for leadership roles; ensuring our job descriptions, recruiting tools and processes help eliminate the potential for bias; and providing training, educational resources and leadership development programs, including our AcceleratHER Women’s Leadership Academy, Leadership 365 for Aspiring Leaders and Developing Frontline Leaders programs. To ensure further opportunity to underrepresented populations, we offer several programs that incorporate internal networking components; programs include McKinsey Leadership Essentials, Management Accelerator, Executive Leadership Program and Connected Leaders Academy for Asian, Black and Hispanic and Latino cohorts.
To ensure equitable access to opportunities for all, SAIC continues to enhance our workplace practices to eliminate bias, remove barriers to equitable opportunity and improve inclusion; to include diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility training for recruiters and hiring managers; use of diverse talent communities and sourcing tools; and our advertising and marketing efforts to make sure we reach a diverse pool of candidates. Through these efforts, women make up 32% and people of color make up 57% of our job candidates. We also do this through our partnerships with organizations such as historically Black colleges and universities; the Thurgood Marshall College Fund; Black Engineer of the Year Awards; Catalyst, an organization dedicated to helping accelerate progress for women in the workplace; DisabilityIN; Fair360; Women in Aerospace; and Women in Tech.
At SAIC, we believe small and diverse businesses are essential for maintaining a robust, dynamic contractor ecosystem, and play an integral role in the types of supply chain efforts required to meet the unique needs of our government customers. With that belief, we work to expand our partnerships with diverse small businesses and suppliers, hosting outreach sessions and mentoring and providing contract opportunities to those that drive innovation, improve processes and value diversity. SAIC has a robust small business outreach program and tracks its spend with small business diverse-owned suppliers in several categories such as Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, HUBZone and Alaskan Native Corporations and Indian Tribes. In FY24, we spent over $420 million with these small, diverse-owned businesses. Independent third parties consistently recognize SAIC for its industry-leading engagement efforts such as the 2023 Small Business Industry Large Prime of the Year, the 2022 National Veterans Small Business Advocate of the Year, Champion for service-disabled veteran-owned small business and veteran-owned small business and the National Hub Zone Council 2020 Small Business Liaison of the Year.

Our Connect & Grow ERG comes together at our headquarters, continuing their work in environmental stewardship.
Members of our Multicultural ERG celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Since 2017, SAIC and the STEM ERG have been proud to support the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and its recipients.
Members of our Women’s ERG support and regularly volunteer at the Manna House, a food distribution center serving the greater Huntsville, Ala.
Accessibility
Supports and encourages open conversations about visible and non-visible disabilities, including mental health and neurodiversity. Last year, the group conducted a series of events focused on educating the workforce on topics related to accessibility including American Sign Language, mental health awareness and implications for security clearances, mindfulness and elder care.
Connect & Grow
Connects early-career and tenured professionals for networking, professional development, community service and environmental stewardship. This group sponsored more than a dozen events nationwide for employee engagement and development, which included raising more than $7,500 for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and collecting more than 1,600 pounds of e-waste for handling and disposal.
Equality Alliance
Champions lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and allied employees who celebrate and raise awareness for the LGBTQ+ community. This ERG created resources for our LGBTQ+ workforce focused on access to benefits, guidance for gender transitioning employees and training on our commitment to respect and understanding so everyone can be their authentic selves. It also sponsored and supported LGBTQ+-focused community events and volunteer opportunities.
Members of the Equality Alliance ERG enjoy the Pride Night Out with The Washington Nationals.
Military/VeteranS
Serves as an advocate and resource for employees who are former or active-duty service members and their families. With nearly 30% of our workforce being a U.S. military veteran, this group raised more than $50,000 in donations for military charities nationwide during FY24. It created and maintains a network for veterans to share stories, express appreciation, access resources and give back to their communities and coworkers.
The Military/Veterans ERG regularly volunteers with Building Homes for Heroes, an organization dedicated to building or modifying mortgage-free homes for former servicemembers who suffered major injuries.
Multicultural
Celebrates and champions employees’ ethnic and cultural differences and encourages the development, engagement and retention of SAIC’s underrepresented minorities. This group created, hosted and facilitated multiple engagements recognizing Black History, Diwali, Lunar New Year, Native Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and Hispanic Heritage.
STEM
Supports STEM programs in the communities where SAIC operates, and employees reside, as well as opportunities for current and future STEM professionals. Last year, this group of employees sponsored, facilitated and judged more than 17 robotics-, rocket- and science-based events inspiring young people to engage in science, technology, engineering and math. They also created and coordinated a program to refurbish and donate lightly used SAIC laptops and other electronics to multiple schools nationwide.
Women’s
A place for employees to champion growth, create networking and outreach opportunities and educate others about the unique challenges women face at work. In FY24, the largest of our resource groups, provided nationwide support to organizations supporting women, including Girls Inc, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Women in Aerospace, Women in Technology and The Women’s Center ― and raised over $250,000 in support of these organizations.
In 2023, we created our social communities of interest to connect employees across the enterprise that offer corporate support and informal training opportunities. They are:
Coaching: Learning from each other on how to improve, sharing lessons learned, best practices and SAIC resources.
Family: Knowledge-sharing related to balancing work and caregiving for family members, and SAIC’s benefits and resources that help with family care.
Mentoring: Sharing principals of mentoring programs across SAIC to connect and collaborate, leveraging the company’s mentoring resources.
Volunteering: Learning about, supporting and promoting volunteer activities in the communities where we work.
Wellness: Exchange of best practices on wellness and information on SAIC’s wellness benefits.
Work at SAIC prioritizes flexibility, inclusion and well-being: We empower our employees to own their work experiences.
SAIC fosters a flexible environment by offering schedule options that include alternate work schedules along with increasing remote and hybrid work environments. Our definition of flexibility is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Putting our customers and their business needs first, our employees and their leaders work together to develop schedules to ensure work is done well while contributing to the employee’s well-being.
Employee flexibility also helps us attract a wider talent pool and retain highly skilled people in extremely sought-after disciplines such as science, technology, engineering and cybersecurity.
The flexibility for individuals to choose a four-day workweek or a hybrid or remote work schedule helps lessen our impact on the planet too. By having fewer employees working in offices, we have been able to reduce our leased space, which leads to lower greenhouse gas emissions and paper use. Reducing or eliminating employee commutes helps our reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as well.
Wherever We Work, We Embrace Flexibility
To drive employee engagement and retention, we work to create an inclusive workforce culture throughout the talent lifecycle that develops the critical skills of our employees. When we need to hire externally, we design our efforts to attract highly skilled and exceptional talent. Employee referrals often result in some of our best performing new hires. In FY24, 32% of the approximately 5,900 new employees hired came from an employee referral. We are an industry leader in the retention of our employees, consistently decreasing voluntary attrition as a percentage of employees.
Through technical and professional skills training, leadership development programs, higher education programs and tuition assistance programs for continuing education or industry certification, we invest in developing and upskilling our people. In FY24, our employees completed approximately 155,000 hours of training, or nearly six and a half hours per employee. This time included over 9,100 hours of leadership development.

Through our annual employee culture and engagement survey, we gather confidential feedback to learn and act on how we can continue to create and improve our culture and the employee experience. All levels of management receive aggregated results of strengths and opportunities to develop an action plan to address their team’s needs. Understanding and acting on that feedback has been worthwhile as in our 2024 survey we achieved our highest overall score in the previous four years ― exceeding the national benchmark by 6%. We sustained or improved scores for all questions outpacing the national benchmark by seven basis points.
We provide wide-ranging options to support employees’ health and well-being, including an Employee Assistance Program that provides confidential counseling, personal financial guidance and resources, legal support and work-life assistance. As many of our employees are remote and need flexibility in meeting their health and well-being needs, we offer a suite of convenient, easily accessible tools to keep our employees well wherever they may be. Our Wellness Community of Interest and our Accessibility Employee Resource Group provide a social way for employees to connect with each other about health and wellness while also providing useful learning and educational sessions.
Employee health and safety is always paramount to our business and to our employees’ well-being. We encourage employees to participate in health and wellness initiatives, and actively work to prevent workplace hazards.
Not surprisingly, the good our company does begins with our employees. Our employees embrace SAIC’s legacy of community involvement and philanthropy. Giving both their time and money, our employees volunteered 29,000 hours in FY24, an increase of 10% over the previous year and almost 40% over FY22. Including employee contributions, SAIC donated just over $3.2 million in FY24 to causes important to our mission.

SAIC serves the communities in which we live and work through our lasting relationships with community partners. We primarily contribute to our four focus areas: military and veteran resiliency, STEM education, community wellness and diversity. We added a diversity and inclusion focus this year as diverse and inclusive companies are more innovative and deliver stronger business results.
Military and Veteran Resilience
BUILDING HOMES FOR HEROES
To honor our veteran relationships, SAIC partners with Building Homes for Heroes, a national nonprofit organization that builds and modifies houses and then gifts them mortgage-free to injured veterans and their families. By the end of FY24, we helped donate 16 homes to our military heroes through this partnership, which began in 2013 and continues into our current fiscal year with one additional home already delivered and two others scheduled for later in the year.
USO
For over 20 years, a senior executive of SAIC has served on the board of directors of the USO. The company supports their annual fundraising gala that provides acts of caring, comfort and connection for America’s military and their families. Each year, SAIC employees support USO’s Project Elf for and provide holiday gifts for hundreds of junior enlisted children every year. In 2023, we provided 250 military families with gifts to help make their holidays brighter.
STEM
Astronaut Scholarship FOUNDATION
Since 2017, SAIC has provided STEM scholarships through the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, created to ensure that the United States maintains leadership in science and technology by supporting some of the very best STEM college students. To date, SAIC has provided 16 scholarships in helping to inspire future generations. SAIC serves on the Neil Armstrong® Award of Excellence selection committee, an award given to an Astronaut Scholar Alum that exemplifies personal character and professional achievement mirroring the core values of its namesake, Neil Armstrong.
Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering
SAIC supports the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering’s mission of educating – tuition-free – the cyber technology and engineering workforce of the future. Today, SAIC continues its financial and community support for the school and its students pursuing STEM education. In 2022, SAIC committed $1.5 million towards Alabama’s leading magnet schools in STEM education.
Community Wellness
Feeding America
We’re in our tenth consecutive year of helping combat hunger in America through our partnership with Feeding America. During Hunger Action Month in September 2023, SAIC raised $311,908 with the help of donations and fundraising efforts by SAIC employees - an equivalent of 3.1 million meals for people facing food insecurity.
SAIC employees embraced the company’s Give A Meal Team Challenge, participating in a variety of activities that included events to raise funds, along with volunteering at their local food banks. Their generosity, time and dedication resulted in more than $131,000 in direct contributions, which the company matched. Over the past 10 years, SAIC has helped provide approximately 25 million meals to people in need through our partnership the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization. For every dollar given, Feeding America provides at least 10 meals to those facing hunger.
Diversity and Inclusion
Thurgood Marshall College Fund
SAIC supports the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community offering financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of funds member-schools that include 47 publicly supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). In partnership for four years, SAIC works with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund to help provide scholarships and research initiatives. As the organization is a source for top employers seeking talent for competitive internships and good jobs. SAIC CEO Toni Townes-Whitley has served on their board of directors since 2019.
Catalyst
SAIC supports Catalyst, a global nonprofit organization that helps build workplaces that work for women through its thought leadership and actionable solutions. Catalyst addressed the many issues affecting our work and lives today, including the imperative to confront race and racism at work. SAIC is proud to have CEO Toni Townes-Whitley serve on their board of directors along with SAIC Chief Human Resource Officer Michelle O’Hara on their board of advisors.

Ethical practices act as the foundation of all that we do. This is evidenced in our governance ratings as SAIC consistently achieves the highest scores from outside agencies relative to its global peers. To ensure continued excellence in governance, we established an Artificial Intelligence Council that works to ensure responsible use of AI, and an ESG Council, that endeavors to identify and address enterprise opportunities and risks. We also introduced SAIC’s Human Rights Policy and updated our Supplier Code of Conduct to set clear expectations for social, ethical and environmental responsibility. Additionally, giving both their time and money, our employees volunteered 29,000 hours in FY24, an increase of 10% over last year and almost 40% over FY22.
Do What’s Right
Commitment to Sustainable Business
We continue to focus internally on our sustainability efforts and externally on empowering our customers through science and technology applications, such as tackling environmental challenges and contributing to global discussions and actions on climate resilience and change. While there is more work to do to combat rising climate change, we reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions 41% since our baseline year in 2019.
This report reflects our collective efforts and achievements. It illustrates what we value most at SAIC — delivering excellence in service to our customers, providing enriching careers for our employees, and upholding our responsibility to society and the environment, all while contributing outstanding value to our business.
I thank you for your continued support and for being an integral part of our journey. There is still much to do, but together, we believe we can create a brighter future for the world and our planet.
