Protecting Complex Supply Chains
to Enhance Global Readiness
SAIC’s Secure Supply Chain solutions provide customers with the economies of scale, secure technology, and deep expertise to work globally with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, third-party logistics (3PLs), and transportation partners to orchestrate an integrated and tailored logistics supply chain ecosystem.
We don’t just design a supply chain. We create one ecosystem with consolidated service level agreements (SLAs) while planning for best/worst case scenarios, surge and seasonality, obsolescence, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, and
physical asset security.

Clear Efficiency Gains
Through our Secure Supply Chain (SSC) solutions, you regain the bandwidth to focus on tasks unrelated to supply chain management (SCM), therein improving efficiency of other processes. We mitigate obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, therein resulting in better material fill rates, quality assurance, and resiliency.
Our management systems and processes prioritize security, earning Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) compliance, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance. This is achieved through secure technologies such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), a secure private cloud environment, next-generation firewalls, and zero-trust network security, orchestration, automation, and response.
Secure Technology
Sourcing with a single point of contact reduces costs while realizing efficiency gains by reducing the volume of supply chain contacts. While other logistics and SCM organizations provide support or solutions at a la carte segments along the supply chain, SAIC’s end-to-end management sustains the supply chain and delivers an effective tailored solution, which allows security and agility within the supply chain, saving you resources while improving transparency, readiness, and resiliency.
Single Ecosystem
We leverage our global list of qualified vendors, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), in all areas of supply chain (standard, non-standard, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)) to enable quick, compliant, and agile delivery.

Global Tires Program
Since 2007, SAIC has provided supply chain management of ground and aircraft tires for U.S. and foreign military customers through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). With OEM partners, this contract, valued at more than $1.7 billion, facilitates the timely delivery of hundreds of thousands of tires each year for 60 different military aircraft and ground vehicles, with SAIC established commercial distribution centers located domestically and abroad. These distribution centers hold SAIC-owned inventory stocked to meet rapid delivery requirements. Through the Global Tires Program, SAIC integrates forecasting, procurement, inventory management, worldwide distribution, retread management for aircraft tires, and supply chain management expertise to support tire requirements from end-users around the world.
SAIC has teamed with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide wholesale supply, storage, and distribution of commercial paints, varnishes, preservative and sealing compounds, and adhesives in Federal Supply Group (FSG) 80 to military and federal civilian agency locations around the globe. Items covered include, but are not limited to, Federal Supply Classes (FSCs) 8010 (paint, lacquer, enamel, polyurethane, varnish, epoxy, aerosol), 8030 (sealing compound, primer, sealant, insulator) and 8040 (adhesive, tape, resin, glue pen). SAIC also provides services including but not limited to procurement, demand planning, inventory and distribution management, shelf-life management, and direct delivery of the commodity to more than 5,000 DOD locations.
Federal Supply Group (FSG) 80
In partnership with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), SAIC procures, stores, and distributes chemicals and packaged petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POLs) for military and civilian agencies around the globe.
More than 6,000 unique chemicals and POLs go through SAIC's supply chain, and more than 15,000 orders are shipped each month to customers worldwide. More than 90% of orders are shipped within four business days, and most are shipped within two.
To support the ChemPOL program, SAIC logistics specialists:
Chemicals and Packaged Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (ChemPOL)
Establish warehouse quality procedures for receipt, inspection, issue, physical inventory control and storage, shelf-life management, picking, packing, and transportation
Analyze on-hand inventory, existing material purchases on order, product and administrative lead times, and safety stock
Monitor replenishment schedules against performance to trigger inventory adjustments

The Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV) program is a collaborative effort between the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Department of Defense (DOD) maintenance depots, and SAIC to streamline acquisitions. Through the IPV program, SAIC has reduced order ship time while simultaneously lowering procurement and inventory costs.
We supply parts ranging from pre-expended bin (PEB) items, to aircraft subassemblies, to engine and landing gear components, to land vehicle maintenance support components. We have consistently maintained a bin fill rate greater than 99%, cutting the cycle time to get a weapon system returned to the field.
Industrial Product-support Vendor
The maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) market presents unique challenges, such as high transaction volumes and labor cost per transaction, a large supply base, and low service levels. To improve MRO procurement times and reduce costs, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) established the Tailored Logistics Support Program.
SAIC's proprietary procurement solutions, expertise, and infrastructure enable us to link federal customers with thousands of suppliers while adhering to government procurement regulations. Through multiple MRO-TLS contracts, SAIC supports MRO facility maintenance requirements across the continental U.S., Hawaii, and Guam.
