Toob — pronounced “tube” — holds its own by challenging what is expected of a lounge chair. The chair's structure is thin and airy, designed to give the impression that the seat and arms are floating, connected only by a slender metal line. This lightness and airiness are ground by the presence of strong, angular upholstered pieces, which create tension to produce a unique silhouette.

“The design of Abl’s shape was inspired by the idea of fabric being draped over two wooden supports. There is a gentle softness present in the draped effect of this chair, as if naturally created by gravity, and the ash base allows for just enough rigidity.”

Inspired by the image of fabric draping over two wooden supports, Abl — pronounced “able” — recreates the appearance of a soft curve shaped by gravity, offering an inviting, seating option. Shaped foam attached to the arms mimics soft material swaddling the chair's base, while a recessed back highlights Abl’s multi-piece construction. Surrounded by a comfortable, draped seat and a protective curved back, Abl stands out by enveloping the user, transporting them into an ideal state of focused flow.
