I’m done doing things by other people’s rules, and this year that includes not holding back the decor until after Thanksgiving. (Why put off the joy?) It turns out that the cover star of our 2023 holiday issue, actress, mom, and HSN design star Lacey Chabert, is done with that rule, too. “The day after Halloween, pumpkins are going away and Christmas trees are going up,” she told SheKnows’s Executive Editor Erika Janes.
The “Queen of Christmas,” who launched a loungewear line with HSN last year, has cemented her claim on the title with two more Hallmark holiday movies on her résumé this season (look out for a Party of Five reunion with TV brother Scott Wolf in one of them). “ . . . It really makes sense that I have found myself making so many Christmas movies, because I wish it was Christmas all year long,” she said. Adding to the holiday spirit, she’s reprised her character in Mean Girls, Gretchen Wieners, in a Walmart Black Friday Deals commercial.

I don't think that's the thing that kids take away from it. It's the joy that they feel in being together, or getting to see the look on their face when they open that present that they were so excited about.”

Libby’s sweet corn
salt and pepper to taste.
1 tablespoon truffle oil
(one tablespoon per can)
1 tablespoon butter
M E T H O D
Heat corn over medium heat, add ingredients and cook for five minutes. Cover and cut heat to medium-low for another ten minutes. Serve when ready.

Salt and pepper
M E T H O D
Fry bacon in a pan over medium heat. When crispy remove and chop.
Heat green beans over medium heat in a small pot with the chopped bacon for five minutes. cover and cut the heat to medium-low for another ten. Serve when ready.
