The CELLSEARCH® Circulating Tumor Cell Test is the first and only FDA-approved test to detect and monitor circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in metastatic breast, colorectal, and prostate cancer.
Used in combination with other standard testing, the CellSearch CTC test can provide a more complete picture of your disease to help you better navigate your cancer journey.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are cancer cells that break away from the primary tumor and travel through the bloodstream to other parts of the body.
Studies have shown counting and monitoring the number of CTCs in the bloodstream can indicate whether a patient's prognosis is favorable or less favorable. Higher levels of CTCs are associated with a more aggressive disease or a higher risk of disease progression.

Used in combination with standard testing, CELLSEARCH can determine how favorable your prognosis is at any point of time throughout your cancer journey to help you and your doctor stay on course.

To get a CTC baseline, your doctor will collect a sample of your blood

Results are typically reported to your doctor 2-3 days after your sample has been received

*Metastatic prostate cancer patients were defined as having two consecutive increases in the serum marker prostate specific antigen above a reference level, despite standard hormonal management. These patients are commonly described as having androgen-independent, hormone-resistant, or castration-resistant prostate cancer.
The CELLSEARCH® Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) test is FDA-cleared for detecting CTCs in cancer patients with metastatic breast, prostate*, or colorectal cancer.
