The perfect programme for career growth
On this two-year modular programme, you’ll enjoy a rich combination of training, mentoring and challenging hands-on responsibility.
You will thrive on this experience if you enjoy the challenge of complex work that is sustainability focused and increasingly tech enabled. You will be working alongside industry experts to deliver transformational constructions or refurbishments, which enhance local communities. The ambition and technical demands of these projects are key to stretching graduates’ skills and accelerating their learning.
We are ready to make a big investment in your journey to chartered status – providing early responsibilities and backing you all the way in realising your full potential. We also offer a positive working environment with a strong focus on your wellbeing and welfare. Our team is a community that brings together a wealth of different backgrounds and experiences. The culture is inclusive, warm, welcoming and respectful of others – encouraging you to be yourself and succeed on your own terms.
Our goal is to prepare you for high levels of future responsibility. Once the two-year programme is completed, you will take up a permanent role in your specialist field – taking the next step towards leadership.
We'll continue to invest in you throughout your career with us, offering new challenges and responsibilities as you progress on your career path.

Not being drawn to full time university, after her A-Levels Ella decided to pursue a Planning Apprenticeship with Sir Robert McAlpine, an avenue that saw her attend London’s Southbank University part time, studying a degree in Construction Management. This was five years ago, and she’s been with the business ever since.
The number of women working on projects with me has only increased since I started, and this visibility really makes a difference. I think the firm has made a real effort to make sure women feel seen and heard, it makes it so much easier to speak up about any issues you’re facing when you’re in a room where you feel like you truly belong.
