$148 million, 55,000-SF renovation and 155,000-SF addition to the historic 1917 Old Chemistry building on the University of Cincinnati's main campus. The renovation will include new faculty and departmental offices, open/flexible engineering research labs, general purpose classrooms, science biology and chemistry teaching labs, and new student study and faculty collaboration spaces. The addition will include new state-of-the-art, open-bay chemistry research labs with chemical storage, material support and facility service spaces.

Why this project matters
$16.7 million worth of work totaling 98,000-SF on Medpace’s campus included renovating 23,000-SF within Buildings 200 and 300 as well as constructing the 22,500-SF Building 500, then a subsequent 53,000-SF renovation of Building 200. Renovations included: new lab and testing spaces; converting existing office, lab and storage facility spaces into new/expanded office spaces; new/expanded biomedical processing; extensive mechanical and electrical system upgrades; and freezer storage facility. Building 500 houses offices and a distribution warehouse with two loading docks.
