Q: When will the Sky Up events be held?
A: We appreciate that you may not be able to attend all events due to work, studies or other commitments, but we would love for you to attend and will be trying to make the events as relevant as possible for you and other Tech Grant recipients. We will try and make the events as accessible as possible by varying days of the week and timings to suit different working patterns etc. and touch on a range of topics.
Q: Can I attend other events and online learning that aren’t organised by the Sky Up & Spectra team?
A: Absolutely. The support we hope to provide is an extra opportunity to sit alongside other career, educational or personal development. If there are specific topics or events that you feel would be beneficial, we’d love to hear about them to shape future events and potential online supporting materials.
Q: What if my accommodation address changes during the year of the programme? What happens to the Sky Broadband offer?
A: If you move to a new address during the programme, we will make every effort to move your Sky broadband account to the new address. Q: What if I can’t get Sky broadband at my building or property?
A: Sky are working through other options to suit people’s individual situations. This may be with NOW broadband, providing a dongle for the home or by providing Sky Mobile data. Sky will work through
this on an individual case by case basis. Not having Sky broadband won’t affect the chances of being part of the Sky Up Tech Grant programme.
Q: Where will the Sky/Spectra events be held?
A: Where possible we’ll try and host events at our Sky offices. In some circumstances, events may be organised elsewhere. We’ll make sure we share locations and travel options far in advance to help ensure everyone who wants to come can make it.
