Project Ada grew out of an ideal shared by Slalom and AWS—that we get better, more inclusive products by mirroring the diversity of our customer’s customer, and training is a crucial step toward getting there.
Find out how Slalom and AWS partnered through Project Ada to increase the number of women with AWS Cloud Practitioner and Solution Architect certifications at Slalom—and read stories from some of the women who participated. A journey to achieve gender parity in certifications, the project was overwhelmingly successful—even amidst the COVID-19 lockdown.

At the 2018 AWS re:Invent conference, Slalom CEO Brad Jackson made a commitment to increase the number of AWS certifications held by women at Slalom—from six percent to 50 percent. Through a deep partnership with AWS and Project Ada, Slalom reached gender parity. The effort was the largest training and certification program at Slalom yet.
