Only correctlyfolded proteinsare immobilized
Each protein is expressed with a small biotin carboxyl carrier protein (BCCP) tag, which binds to biotin only when the protein is properly folded. This ensures that only functional proteins are immobilized on the streptavidin-coated array surface – preserving structure and enhancing assay performance.
Misfoldedproteins arewashed away
If a protein is misfolded, the BCCP tag fails to bind biotin. As a result, misfolded proteins are not immobilized and are removed from the array — eliminating noise in the data readout caused by nonspecific interactions between antibodies and misfolded proteins.
Immobilizedproteins retainnative structure
All immobilized proteins remain full-length, correctly folded and preserved on a non-denaturing surface – ensuring maximum accuracy, reliability and biological relevance in every assay.
