The LoadRight application puts everything they need for each of these tasks in one place, giving end-to-end visibility, predictive insight, and ease of access to everyone involved.

The Challenge
Truckload shippers have long used tedious spreadsheets or white boards to plan, route, and tender their loads to their customers. This created information silos, limited visibility for the shippers and customers, and an overwhelming and unnecessary paper trail, causing missed emails, poor communication, and wasted time searching for information.
Falkon worked directly with truckload shippers to ensure the software was suitable to their needs. We made sure to format all the information in a way that would be conducive to the way a carrier driver or forklift driver works - on a phone or tablet - and ensured all information they input was automatically saved as they type, saving time. Falkon eliminated the information silos by providing a single platform that would share information with as many people as desired. We included GPS tracking, traced to the vehicle, so customers have real-time visibility into their loads.
Our Solution
Customers using LoadRight have seen significant improvements in increasing their customer order fulfillment, time savings, reduced labor costs, highly improved visibility and on-time deliveries, and ultimately a better customer experience with each load delivered. The software has transformed simple order data into new levels of predictable and sustainable performance and profitability for the shippers, and total transparency to the whole sales channel.

Drivers have their own mobile app within the LoadRight platform which allows the driver to digitally manage and provide end-to-end workflow visibility to the load in real-time, as well as send automated alert notifications on their status, eliminating the need for driver check calls. With eye-catching colors for load status, it is easy to see immediately what is in transit, delivered, or delayed – improving overall communication and visibility.
USA Plastic Surgery is a medical group practice that specializes in Cosmetic, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. After a double storage failure caused them to lose multiple years of data, they contacted Falkon to upgrade their network and provide an IT consultation for additional improvements.
USA Plastic Surgery came to Falkon in November 2020 after a double rate failure caused them to lose 2+ years of data. Falkon’s team deployed a data recovery specialist who was able to recover the lost data, but determined they needed a full overhaul of their entire environment. The company staff were also using an old version of Microsoft programs which put them at greater risk of a security breach, and therefore at risk for potential patient privacy and HIPPA violations.

After recovering the lost 2+ years of data, Falkon was able to rebuild their environment with a virtualized setup. We reviewed their overall environment, analyzed what was existing, both software and hardware-wise, and presented a list of suggested improvements to increase security and protect against potential future data loss while maintaining ease of access and providing better system stability for the staff. Falkon virtualized both existing servers, upgraded the network firewall, built out a new VPN for improved work-from-home security, and updated all computers to Windows 10, improving security even further. Additionally, Falkon made their Wi-Fi a more secure wireless network environment by providing a new Wi-Fi access point.
Network security was greatly improved across the board and improving the Wi-Fi not only made access more secure but also more convenient for their staff. Falkon implemented both local (on-site) and cloud data backups, providing better stability and peace of mind for the staff at USA Plastic Surgery. Additionally, we perform routine environment check-ups and system updates, ensuring seamless functionality and up-to-date security at all times.
Property Damage Appraisers Inc. (PDA) is the nationwide leading independent damage appraisal firm. PDA completes over 420,000 estimates a year for property, heavy equipment, over-the-road truck, specialty equipment, auto, RV, boat, motorcycle and other damage across the nation. PDA’s new claim processing software, developed by Falkon, has helped them close claims faster, reduce downtime, and complete appraisals accurately.
Before Falkon, PDA’s existing claim processing software was built on an older framework that required a very specific setup with Windows and was difficult to use. Falkon’s initial task back in 2013 was to take over the existing system and incorporate additional functionality, including a payroll system, scheduled assignment view, a CRM system that integrated directly with WebFMS (their Franchise Management System) and forms such as a bundled rate calculation form which also pulled data from FMS. Additionally, PDA wanted to increase efficiency for people in the field, so a mobile app was requested.

Falkon understood that a software migration of this magnitude required close coordination internally and precise scheduling after hours to avoid workflow disruption. To achieve a seamless migration, Falkon scheduled updates outside of West coast working hours to account for nationwide business hours. We also maintained both the old and new programs until the new WebFMS was completed and able to be fully replaced. After the migration, WebFMS could be used from any device with a Chromium browser, making it much more accessible and easier to use. Falkon switched the application from a native, downloaded app to a web application, which allowed us to separate all the various functions of the app into separate areas, meaning the user would only see and access what pertains to them, resulting in a faster application. Using a web application also kept everything in a secure datacenter, significantly improving security. The nature of damage claims includes integrating with many companies and systems to provide the best customer experience. Falkon was able to provide integrations with multiple software companies such as CCC, Mitchell, Audatex, AdjustRite, Xactimate, in addition to multiple File Transfer Protocol (FTP) integrations.
Overall, the new WebFMS application was cleaner, faster, more secure, and was functional on a variety of screen sizes. By integrating with all the various software companies, PDA saw greater security by limiting the local files on a device and reduced the time/number of steps in the process. Users no longer had to download a file to attach to the system – It simply imported directly into Web FMS. Data integrity was also improved, as users no longer had to retype or copy/paste data in multiple places because the important data was copied directly.
The FMS Mobile app was our solution that allowed appraisers to use their phones to set their schedules, upload photos (with an offline mode for low-connectivity areas), upload documents, scan VINs, and even includes tracking capabilities. The app was originally designed as a web application and rebuilt as native mobile apps for Android/iOS for a better user experience and to alleviate the limitations of a web-only application.
The FMS mobile app directly affected efficiency of those in the field, resulting in fewer scheduling conflicts, and eased the appraisal process for PDA employees. Over our longstanding relationship, Falkon has delivered numerous diverse solutions for PDA’s internal and external processes, from a mobile app to a client portal, and are still providing managed services to PDA for additional integrations and upgrades.
