Former policeman Sunny Ong, 75, channels his professional experience into a passion for reading crime novels. Drawing on his surveillance and body language skills, he now devours works by Agatha Christie and Jeffery Deaver, fascinated by their insights into human behaviour.
Self-professed clubber Sheela Mariappan, 73, has a passion for upbeat Indian songs and loves to dance the night away. For over a decade, she has been a regular on dance floors, declaring clubbing her favourite hobby and one she plans to enjoy all of her life.
Mr Audie Ng, 82, is the founder, bassist and saxophonist of The Silver Strings, established in 1963. Just two years after their formation, they were the opening act for The Rolling Stones at the Singapore Badminton Hall – an iconic moment in music history.
Ms Tan Li Leng (right), 67, wanted to learn a new sport and went from pole dancing enthusiast to instructor. She leads classes, including one for cancer survivors and seniors, empowering them to stay fit, positive and confident within a supportive, healthy community.
