Demi Lovato
Three strokes and a heart attack
It has been reported that former Disney Channel actress and “Heart Attack” singer Demi Lovato began doing drugs as a teen and started experimenting with more and more dangerous combinations, going in and out of rehabilitation centres even as her career continued to soar.
Things came to a head when she overdosed on heroin one evening in 2018, suffering three strokes, a heart attack, and organ failure. Paramedics managed to save her, but the incident left her with brain damage which caused her to have blind spots in her vision.
In 2021, she made a documentary series detailing her addiction and recovery. "I know I'm done with the stuff that's going to kill me," she said.
